We had fantastic days in the very spacious apartment. Fully equipped, a beautiful view over harbor and sea, within walking distance of supermarket, harbor and village. In addition, a top intermediary who offered us immediate help when needed. Her involvement in the ups and downs of us as tenants was very good.

We have rented this apartment for almost 4 weeks. In recent years we have rented two different apartments on this complex. I dare say that we have sufficient material for comparison with this.

We have rented this apartment for almost 4 weeks. In recent years we have rented two different apartments on this complex. I dare say that we have sufficient material for comparison with this.
The bathrooms of this apartment have been renovated. Furthermore, the floor of the terrace has been provided with new tiles.
The rating of this apartment is negative. I think this is a pity. It wouldn't have been necessary if there wasn't overdue maintenance. During our stay, the handyman spent about 20 hours working over 5 days. The handyman has done the needful. There is work left undone for him.
The condition of the terrace was eye-catching. Mould on the walls, dried out plants, a lounger that could be put in the garbage and a dining table that had seen better days.
The pans in the kitchen could not be used. The top layer of the pans were damaged. This was later rectified by getting new pans. These are a few examples.

I've emailed the owner. I couldn't figure that out. What a pity!

It is important to know that the complex was built about 20 years ago. The buildings are very noisy. One of the house rules is: Between 14:00 and 17:00 and after midnight you are not allowed to make noise or play music. A fair house rule. Only apartments are being renovated. The construction workers do not follow these rules. The noise can be so great for several days that you flee the apartment.

At the end of the afternoon and in the evening no more sun on the terrace, but still by the pool. Estepona is a super nice place where we will definitely go back.

The views from the apartment back over the complex and to the marina and sea are fantastic - but with this being so high up, it might not be ideal with toddlers/small children. However with our daughter only being five months it wasn't a worry. The apartment is just as in the pictures with good presentation throughout and the beds were nice and comfortable. We had an issue with the air conditioning units and although this couldn't be fixed straightaway, the service host was quick to bring additional fans and keep us updated.
Getting to the apartment from the airport it easy, although admittedly we've stayed in the area many times before and knew how to get there, but the directions provided were very clear.

If you don't mind a walk up the large hills of Estepona after your evening meal, this is a great apartment, Puerto Alto is a great complex with two lovely pools and plenty of seating areas with the marina and old town both easy walks away.

A great stay and well managed by both Ronald and his wife from the start through to the service with Kevin on arrival - perfect for our babies first holiday abroad.
