We lived in this beautiful house for four weeks (July 2020). What a fantastic place to unwind! Don't be alarmed by the description of the road to it, because even though it is not wide (the road is really wide enough, we didn't find it scary), the chance that you will encounter another car is very small and there are plenty of opportunities to pass each other. A big advantage is that you don't hear cars near and in the house. You are also not bothered by the road below (the road to the village of Comares). We flew to Malaga in corona time. This was perfectly doable. Through a QR code that was scanned upon arrival at the airport, we and our family members in the Netherlands were easy to trace. Spain made us feel safe as far as the virus is concerned: 2 meters distance, face masks mandatory, disinfectants available everywhere. Everyone was used to it and everyone kept to those agreements, which is not unimportant. The large supermarket (Eroski) in Torre del Mar is so spacious, that also felt safe. We went shopping once a week. The fridge and freezer are large enough to store everything. It can easily take you 40 minutes to drive to Torre del Mar, but the road there is not a punishment, so for us that was no problem at all. If you want to walk to the village of Comares, it will take you 20 minutes, but that is quite uphill. There are plenty of opportunities for beautiful trips, but we loved being at the villa often. The beds were lovely and we really liked that there were shutters on the windows everywhere so that it was nice and dark if you wanted to sleep. The system of the windows, with shutters, mosquito nets and windows that can be opened is really fantastic, you can adjust each window individually to your preference. In and around the house you lack nothing. There are many (large) towels, glasses, pans and crockery are more than enough and outside you will find many seating and lying options with lovely cushions. We always buy two air mattresses on arrival at the Eroski in Torre del Mar (lots of choice!) and in the house there is an air mattress pump, so you can quickly get into the water after arrival. From the terrace you have a beautiful view. What we really like about this villa is the fact that you are directly on the tiled terrace from the house and the pool is also in the same terrace. You have a choice of sun and shade all day long. Harrie and Bienvenido are very very nice and helpful. They are always there for you if there is anything. Villa Amarilla, Harrie and Bienvenido; We would love to come back!
