Had a nice weekend with friends.
Delicious barbecue and fires lit in the garden.
The surrounding area is beautiful for walks.
We had a dog with us who could run free through the fence around the large garden.

Thanks to the quiet location, you can sit in the garden for a long time without anyone bothering you.
We thoroughly enjoyed it.
Only the point that GPS sends you to another house, that was a bit of a search at the beginning. Especially if you don't know French very well.

Beautiful view and very friendly landlord who is very easily accessible by mail (also in Dutch). Has completely arranged a baby cot for our stay. Reception by someone on site, in French, was friendly. The cottage certainly meets the price, with most necessities provided, also some children's toys and games and a good sized trampoline. Furthermore, the garden is uneven, so less suitable for playing outside / smaller children. Nice little fire pit behind the house, where you can sit with chairs. The negatives: quite secluded, so always about a 20 min drive to supermarket etc. Cottage is a bit crazy laid out in the sense that you can not really eat before (with the view and with sun at the end of the day) or something. There is no terrace and there is no garden table. Bbq and drawers etc a bit rickety. Bedrooms not very big, but with good closets and clean. Check-out was a bit messy, had to go after it myself several times. Thanks for the stay!

The welcome was warm and the key holder helped to get the luggage car up with a 4x4 because it is quite a climb from the gate to the top. The bungalow ("gite") is fully equipped. Perhaps a terrace at the front (with sliding doors) is an option for the future? At the front you have a beautiful view over the valley. Beds are in excellent condition and the inventory is almost complete. The large trampoline is a real magnet for the children
You can enjoy a delicious meal at Le Vieuil Engreux, within walking distance of the bungalow. Please report (a day) in advance to manager Jaqcues if you are coming to eat with 4-5 people, so that he can take this into account. For the walkers ; the GR57 route runs right through Engreux. During our stay we walked the Maboge-Engreux stage, about 20 km.
This part of the route is one of the most beautiful parts of the entire route and definitely worth it for the (experienced) hiker!
All in all enjoyed a very good holiday in a great location

During the New Year's Eve weekend (2017/2018) we rented this house with 3 couples and some small children.

The house was beautifully situated and is surrounded by a nice garden on a slope. When we arrived there was a nice layer of snow.
The cozy décor and wood-burning stove certainly contributed to the pleasant atmosphere. We had a great time. The area is well worth a walk.

The landlord was very helpful and friendly.
We had such a good time that we are considering coming back to use the many mountain bike trails in the area.

However, I have a small suggestion:
On the various navigation systems (as well as Google Maps) the address (Engreux 57) is not displayed correctly. The navigation systems send you to a street next to the church, on the other side of the village. Fortunately, the village is not big and everyone apparently knows each other. After talking to someone, we were shown the way to the house where we could pick up the key.

Enjoyed in this beautiful and cozy house and fully equipped. Highly recommended for dog owners. Large enclosed garden and from the gate you walk right into the woods after a few hundred meters. Very friendly owner. Would be nic...

It is a pity that there was no wood available for the stove on arrival (indicated on the site) but at the Gamma in Bastogne they have enough wood in large bags available. House is definitely worth repeating. Regards

Located in a beautiful area with a magnificent view, it is a pity that there is no terrace at the front to enjoy the beautiful view.
The interior is a bit dated but meets the requirements and the kitchen is well equipped with pans, cutlery, plates, etc.
All in all, a great place to stay and recover from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
