Graduated from the AMS in 1976, left for the Netherlands to graduate from the TU-Delft in 1983 as a mechanical engineer.
Returned to Suriname and worked in the alumina refinery of Suralco in Paranam until 1990. Then emigrated to the Netherlands and worked at various companies.
Now retired and living with wife and son in Rotterdam-Zuid (Heijplaat).
