Welcome to Chalet Murmel!
In 2012 our dream became reality and we bought an old farmhouse in Carinthia-Austria.
On the day of the viewing it was minus 24 degrees in the house, so we soon knew that we had to do something about insulation. But how?
We found Fürstauer Bau as a partner and then things went fast. There was insulation, sewer connection, central heating, underfloor heating, a kitchen, a group box, double glazing, roof insulation, the walls waterproof, foundation renewed and so on.
Now we are more than 12 years later and we are calming down a bit, although there are still details that we want to address. The intention is that we will live here permanently when we can stop working.
In the Netherlands we are the proud owner of a large supermarket and for the time being we still like it so much that retirement can wait a while.
