Lovely quiet place with a beautiful view over the water. Unfortunately we had a lot of rain so we didn't use the beach and the boat. Wijk bij Duurstede is a very nice place. Unfortunately it was a fair (a lot of noise).

The canopy (called "cabin" by us) was a frequently used seat, cozy and beautiful view over the water and the boats. You can choose whether you want to live in the sun, shade,
or sit on the grass.

A fantastically located, spacious and beautiful house with modern furnishings. The crossing to the river was fine for us in the hot week (8-15 Aug.) so we had some cooling. In addition, "Wijk" offered a cozy and hospitable center with nice terraces and friendly people. The conviviality radiated from it. For the rest, a beautiful and varied environment with the Utrechtse Heuvelrug around the corner that invites you to tour by car or bicycle. In short, we had a wonderful holiday in a unique place on the water!

Apart from the somewhat changeable weather, there was really nothing to improve. Beautiful base for making beautiful bike rides, beautiful surroundings. Definitely recommended!

Small downside: It really is a super-de-luxe house but a dishwasher is missing... Nevertheless, we are really happy that we were allowed to be in this house.
