By bus or boat you will discover the breathtaking beauty of the area. You are in a delta surrounded by mountains with pine woods, rivers, lakes, sea and the 6 km long Turtle Beach. The delta is a protected area with strict building regulations. High rise is prohibited. The villa is the base to relax and enjoy this unspoilt corner of the rightly famous turquoise coast. The former fishing village Dalyan has become a cozy small tourist center. You have a wide choice of restaurants where you eat good for a very reasonable price. On one of the terraces along the river banks overlooking the impressive Lycian King Tombs tastes a drink extra delicious. Sail to Turtle Beach, you'll experience the labyrinthine journey through the reeds delta. On this beach lays the with extinction endangered sea turtle "Carette Caretta' her eggs.

We, Ruud and Nicolette have fallen in love with Dalyan because of its enormous natural beauty.

This beautiful spacious villa is located 10 minutes walk from the center, so everything is within reach without having to rent a car. The villa is located between Turkish farms and tourist villas, a nice combination.

The caretaker of our villa lives opposite us, she is Turkish and speaks good English. If there is anything she will make sure it is solved.

Car hire is not always necessary. You discover a lot walking or by bike, boat or bus. Walk for example along the riverbank and take the canoe to the other side and walk under the King Tombs along to the ruins of Kaunos, the port city of Lycia in the 4th century BC. Here you have a beautiful view over the river and Dalyan. Grab your bike and cross the river and elsewhere on the shores of the lake in Köycegiz Sultaniye you'll find delicious mud baths and hot springs. Take a tour on the lake in search of birds and turtles. On market day you sail to Köycegiz on the other side of the lake. Rafting, canoeing, sailing, mountain biking and golf are also possible.

Accessibility
Dalaman International Airport is 26 km away. A taxi from the airport to the villa costs € 33, - (TL 75, 2012). We can arrange this for you.

Personal note
Because there is so much to see in the world I have never wanted to buy a house, until one day I ended up in the Dalyan Villa Manzara. Here I would like to put down roots. Nicolette thought that, too. Mrs. Dondu, who lives opposite the villa, is an excellelent care taker. Hospitality is more than obvious. Her English is good and she is very helpful. The decision to put my retirement savings into this beautiful was an easy one.
