Holidays in the Aletsch Arena near the Aletsch Glacier in the Unesco World Heritage Site Jungfrau-Aletsch-Bietschhorn. Bettmeralp is the ideal holiday resort for every taste and especially for families.
In winter with alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, winter hiking and in summer with hiking, climbing, glacier tours, running, mountain biking and Paragliding.In a few minutes you can reach the Alpmattenlift, the feeder to the Aletsch region with 30 lifts, 100 km of slopes and 5 km of cross-country ski trails. For hikers, there are 15 km of groomed winter hiking trails. After an eventful day of skiing, you can ski down to the chalet. The town centre with shops, restaurants, pharmacy, doctor, post office and banks can be reached quickly and comfortably with the free inclined lift, which is about 5 minutes away on foot. In a beautifully quiet and very cosy location, you will find our Chalet Jadwiga directly opposite the Alpmatten lift.

The chalet is built in typical style, it has 2 apartments. In winter, you can be on the slopes in no time at all and even after a day of skiing, you can romp around extensively on the house slope with the existing toboggans. In the other seasons, the children play around the house, while the adults enjoy the mountain panorama on the fully equipped terrace or balcony. Many adult guests have also revived their childhood days at the idyllic Hausbach. You can reach the village centre quickly, as we are located near the inclined lift that goes to the centre.

Housing
You enter the apartment via a vestibule, which offers space for ski and hiking boots. An open living and dining area invites you to linger comfortably. The spacious sofa is a great place to spend the cooler evenings by the fireplace. In the new kitchen you will find everything you need, including a dishwasher. Due to the practical, high-quality bed with drawers, there is also space for an additional baby bed in the bedroom. The children's room offers a bunk bed and shelf, in which all kinds of toys can also be found.

Explanation of the prices & cancellation policy

The deposit is 50% of the rental amount and is payable directly after you have received the booking confirmation. The balance is payable 60 days before the start of the rental period.
Withdrawal from the rental agreement is possible under the following conditions. The deposit of 50% of the rent is owed in any case. If the cancellation period is less than 61 days, or if the arrival does not take place, the full rental price is owed. The tenant is allowed to propose a replacement tenant, who must be reasonable and solvent for the landlord. The replacement tenant takes over the contract under the existing conditions, tenant and replacement tenant are jointly liable for the rent. The calculation of the cancellation fee is based on the receipt of the notification by the agent or the booking office, in the case of (Saturdays, Sundays or public holidays) the next working day applies.

In the event of non-arrival or premature termination of the rental, the entire invoice amount remains owed. If a new tenant is found, repayment will only take place when the new tenant has made an equivalent payment. Any cancellation or rebooking will always be charged with CHF. 100.—charged for processingIn the event of early withdrawal from the rental agreement, the apartment will be released for new rental, if the property is re-rented and the new tenant has made his full payments, the amount paid will be refunded minus the processing fees. There will be no refund in case of early departure.

The Great Aletsch Glacier is a sight of archaic beauty. High up, at the Hohfluh, Moosfluh, Bettmerhorn and Eggishorn viewpoints, one becomes most clearly aware of the size and uniqueness of the Great Aletsch Glacier. One cannot escape the fascination of the huge ice flow, which stretches over a length of 20 km from its catchment area in the Jungfrau region (4000 m) down to the Massa Gorge, which is around 2500 m below.

The Bettmersee is a mountain lake in the Valais municipality of Bettmeralp. It is located below the Bettmerhorn at an altitude of 2009 meters above sea level in a tourist area. A stroller-friendly circular path leads around the 300m long and just as wide mountain lake. Various picnic areas and a well-developed barbecue area in the rear part of the lake invite you to rest all around. Also on the north shore, the "Bootshüsi" offers food and drink with a beautiful terrace directly on the lake.

The Belalp-Riederalp suspension bridge in Switzerland is 24 meters long. The crossing is one of the absolute hiking highlights in Valais. Because the path leads at a height of 80 meters directly in front of the glacier gate of the majestic Great Aletsch Glacier over the Massa Gorge and connects the Belalp with the Riederalp. The view down into the wild Massa Gorge promises an adrenaline rush and thrill at the same time.

The suspension bridge was built in 2008 and secures the old connection between Belalp and Riederalp. This used to lead directly over the Great Aletsch Glacier, but disappeared due to the retreat of the glacier.

The Pro Natura Center Aletsch in the Villa Cassel is located on the Riederfurka in the middle of the magnificent mountain landscape around the Aletsch Forest nature reserve and the Great Aletsch Glacier. At the same time, it is your gateway to the Swiss Alps Jungfrau-Aletsch UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Snow-capped mountains, blue skies, warm sunshine and a breathtaking view of more than 40 four-thousanders and the largest glacier in the Alps: the ski area on the Swiss Alps Jungfrau-Aletsch UNESCO World Heritage Site offers everything a skier's and snowboarder's heart desires. Thanks to the altitude between 1845 and 2869 meters above sea level, perfect winter sports conditions are also guaranteed from December to April.

The ski area for families and connoisseurs

Golfers an insider tip. It is located in the Aletsch Arena at an altitude of 2000 m and is therefore the highest 9-hole golf course in Europe
The golf course is located on a high plateau above the Rhône valley, with a spectacular view of 40 four-thousanders such as the Eiger, Mönch, Jungfrau and the world-famous Matterhorn. Thanks to the sunny, very mild climate, the lawn quality is excellent.

The time has finally come - on the Bettmeralp you can now also play golf in winter and right next to the ski slope. Because there is a new indoor golf course in the Bachtla sports center. In addition to playing more than 40 golf courses, there are other modes such as driving range or nearest to the pin.
For many it is a leisure activity with a high fun factor, for others it is an effective training opportunity.
The golf simulator is ideal for beginners as well as for experts and can be rented by the hour for 1-4 people.

It doesn't matter whether the weather in the Aletsch Arena in Valais is good or bad: the Gletschiland indoor playground on Bettmeralp guarantees endless fun and games for families and children (minimum age 4 years). Lots of exciting play equipment awaits you at the Gletschiland indoor playground. These include slides, for example a tube slide, and trampolines. And of course there is also a climbing frame. The Gletschiland indoor playground is located in the Bachtla sports center on Bettmeralp.

The Bettmeralp sports center offers a wide range of sports and wellness activities in both winter and summer. Here you will not only find the wellness pool with the heated jacuzzi, 18 m pool and giant slide, but also a separate spa area with two different saunas, a spacious fitness room and a sports hall for various sports. The team at the Restaurant Sportzentrum takes care of your physical well-being.
