Welcome to Chalet Mon Désir, a charming detached holiday home in the middle of the nature of the Swiss Jura, in the heart of the Parc du Doubs nature reserve. Located in Lajoux, at an altitude of 1000 meters and only 60 km from Basel, this chalet offers the perfect escape for nature lovers, hikers, cyclists and fishermen. It is a place where peace, beauty and history come together.

Location and surroundings
Chalet Mon Désir is located 1 km from the picturesque village of Lajoux, amidst vast meadows and imposing Jura pine trees. The chalet is surrounded by the unspoilt Franches Montagnes nature reserve and offers a breathtaking view. The chalet is easily accessible by car.
The Family Story
Chalet Mon Désir has a special history. It is a place that has been important to our family for generations. My grandparents, mother and aunt spent their holidays on a farm in Lajoux, where rooms were rented out to guests – even before the Second World War. These holidays led to a close friendship that has continued through the generations. In 1962, my parents asked our neighbors if they could buy land to build a simple holiday home. This chalet is the result of that friendship and now stands for the fourth generation as a place where family and friends come together to enjoy nature.

The chalet has been completely renovated and can accommodate up to 2 people. There are three bedrooms:

- Kitchen well equipped, also with small freezer compartment
- Mini veranda with beautiful view

Activities and sights
There are plenty of activities to do in the area, such as hiking, cycling, swimming in the natural lake Étang de la Gruyère, horse riding, skiing, cross-country skiing, mountain biking and wellness in Saignelégier. In addition, you can visit the famous city of La Chaux-de-Fonds, the birthplace of Le Corbusier, his first home, watch museum and other cultural sites. Lake Biel, Neuchâtel and Murten are also beautiful destinations for a day trip. On a clear day, the Montoz offers a panoramic view of the Alps. In the village of Lajoux you will find the center, new restaurant Le Bistrot, and food shop and the church with its beautiful stained glass windows. Le Bistro offers a cozy atmosphere and delicious pizzas.
Practical information
Chalet Mon Désir offers a soothing environment without Wlan which is ideal for people who are sensitive to electromagnetic fields. Internet with your mobile phone is excellent. We offer extensive information about hiking routes, tourist sites and local shops and restaurants. In addition, board games, herbs, oil, vinegar and soap are available for extra comfort. You will get a list of tips and uses.
