The Silverbirch Chalet, built in 1899, is a charming and romantic traditional Swiss chalet of approximately 85m2. Completely renovated in 2010 and furnished to the highest standards, the chalet comfortably sleeps 4 people in two double bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom.

The chalet is in a great location in Davos (Dorf), a short walk from several shops, bakery, restaurants, the Parsenn ski gondola (which provides access to the largest ski area in the region), hiking trails, cross-country skiing next door and the Davos 18-hole golf course. Despite its central location, the house is completely private on its own grounds with a garden and garage of a total of 400 m².

Amenities include luxury towels and linens, Nespresso coffee, WiFi, and TVs in the bedrooms. There is private parking in a garage for one car.

The Silverbirch chalet is one of the few remaining detached traditional chalets in Davos and is perfect for one or two couples or a small family, looking for privacy and tranquility whilst being in the heart of the village.

The chalet is available for both summer and winter rental. The perfect place to relax by the fire with a glass of wine after a day on the ski slopes, on the golf course or after a long walk through the mountains.

We are a Dutch/Canadian family living in Switzerland for 4 years now. We have a chalet there in the beautiful mountains in Davos, where we often go on weekends for skiing in winter, or hiking and swimming in the lake in summer. Within 5 minutes we are on the slopes or in the mountains for cycling or walking and we enjoy it immensely. During the weeks that we are not there, we are happy to rent the chalet to someone who also loves the mountains.

Explanation of the prices & cancellation policy

If, for whatever reason, the tenant cannot, does not want to or will not accept the leased property on the agreed date, he must immediately notify the landlord . A telephone announcement of this
must always be confirmed in writing or by email to landlord.

If the tenant cancels the agreement in the period up to 6 weeks before the start date of the rental period, he will continue to owe 30% of the rent ; in case of cancellation up to 4 weeks 50% and from 2 weeks to the start date of the rental period 100%.

If the tenant only announces on the start date or during the rental period that he will not make any use of the leased property, he will continue to owe the full rent.

In summer, Davos is popular as a hiking destination, with hundreds of kilometers of marked trails and is known for its spectacular alpine golf. Water sports, Nordic walking, paragliding, rock climbing, tennis and horse riding are just some of the other activities available in Davos.
golf
A seven-minute walk from the chalet is the Golf Club Davos (18 holes, par 68, altitude 1650 meters above sea level) which offers spectacular mountain play, open from the end of May to mid-October (www.golfdavos.ch). There is also a 9-hole golf course in Klosters, a 10-minute drive from the chalet (www.golf-klosters.ch). In the region there are 6 other mountain golf courses within an hour's drive from Davos.

Sailing and windsurfing
Lake Davos offers the opportunity for sailing, windsurfing and swimming. Sailboats and windsurfing equipment can be rented at the lakeside Davos Sports Center, a 15-minute walk from the chalet. There is also a beach volleyball court, pedal boats, a restaurant, a recreational meadow for a picnic and a swimming beach (in summer the lake reaches 20 degrees Celsius).

Mountain biking
Davos-Klosters is recognized as one of the most attractive mountain trail and singletrack destinations in Switzerland. Best known as the starting point of the Freeride tour at 10'000 metres, using 5 of the area's cable cars. Several tours are possible on the well-prepared and marked routes, from easy to very technical. All official tours can be downloaded to a portable GPS tracker, or guides can be hired on site. Welfare
All year round, Davos is known for its wonderful fresh air and wellness options. A 15-minute walk from the chalet you will find the "Eau là -là" Spa (www.eau-la-la.ch) with a variety of wellness activities and treatments, a 25-metre indoor pool and a heated outdoor pool.

Museums, galleries, art, culture and shopping
The diversity of museums, renowned performances in music, art and literature, together with events such as classic car rallies and local festivals, make Davos a special destination. Davos also has a range of shops, from exclusive boutiques to outdoor sports shops and outlets.
