At the rear of our country house, called Finca Mariposa, we have a nice and cozy apartment / guest house with its own entrance, suitable for a maximum of 5 people. There are 2 separate bedrooms, a large living room, fully equipped kitchen and neat bathroom. The guesthouse can be reached by a staircase and is located on the 1st floor, from where you have a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains and nature. There is a private terrace with shaded seating and a charcoal barbecue. Of course you can use the swimming pool. It is wonderful to relax on the sun terrace of the swimming pool and you have a beautiful panoramic view.
Finca Mariposa, which means Landhuis de Butterfly, is a typical Spanish country house with a lush garden and a wide variety of flowers, plants and trees. It is located in a quiet and rural area in the hinterland of the Costa Blanca.
The immediate surroundings can be explored both by bike and on foot. Nice trips by car are the waterfalls Gorg del Salt or Pou Clar, the natural park Sierra de Mariola and the Benicadell, the castle of Guadelest or one of the many old Spanish villages or towns such as Alcoy. The beach is easily accessible in just 40 minutes. The major cities of Valencia and Alicante are about an hour's drive away, which are also definitely worth a visit. Rent a bike in Valencia and cycle through the dry river bed that has been transformed into a park with all kinds of sights and play areas. Alicante is surprisingly nice, a bustling and modern city, with a pleasant boulevard with plenty of terraces and eateries and a permanent children's fair. So something for everyone.
We rent 2 apartments, so the garden and swimming pool will be for common use.
