A LITTLE BIT OF HISTORY......
The "El Chaplón" House was an austere house of the late nineteenth century, which housed a humble family dedicated to farming. Around 1945 it began to be used as a small grocery store for local commerce, where the customer made a small stop along the way, tying the pack donkeys to the ring of the façade. Later, it was used again as a home by a large family. The locals say that at that time, the area was known as La Atalaya and that due to its sunny location, it was a meeting point on summer afternoons as a neighborhood meeting for adults and children, who sat on the chaplon of the entrance door to talk and play in the street.
El Sauzal has recreational areas, a network of trails, for nature lovers, beach and mountain. Such as the cliffs of the coast, the park-viewpoint of Los Lavaderos, the recreational area of Las Calderetas...
