Casa Bella Vista

A three-hour flight from Amsterdam is one of the most attractive holiday areas in the Mediterranean. Andalusia became known for its sunny beaches with 320 days of sunshine a year and a fantastic pleasant micro climate. But there is so much more that one holiday can never be enough to get to know the area. The southeast coast, where the high wild mountains of the Sierra Nevada rise from the sea, is home to one of the most beautiful places on the Costa Tropical: Fuentes de Almuñécar. 

Via the narrow roads, where you leave the beautiful beaches and pleasantly busy boulevards, you can drive from the beach to our casa in a few minutes. 

The neighborhood, Fuentes de Almuñécar, was built about 10 years ago and is fantastically located with stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea on one side and the rugged foothills of the Sierra Nevada on the other. The district is surrounded by plantations with mangoes, avocados, papayas and the local cherimoyas. In summer, the ideal place to avoid the hustle and bustle of the beaches.

From the house you can walk within 200 meters between plantations on rural roads. The district is located at an altitude of 120 meters, 800 meters from the sea and 2 km from the cozy old center of Almuñecar. 

The Casa offers a magnificent view over the Mediterranean Sea.  

The house has 2 floors. On the ground floor is the entrance of the house and there are 2 bedrooms, bathroom and a nice terrace. The 1st floor has a loft where the dining area is located, an open kitchen and utility room with enough space for groceries and a separate toilet with sink. From the loft you look out on the living room, the swaying palms and the sea.

The living room has a comfortable sofa, armchair and high ceilings: this gives the apartment a very spacious feeling with lots of light. Adjacent to the living room is a terrace where you can enjoy a cup of coffee and breakfast in the sun in the morning! From the terrace you walk via the outside stairs to the larger terrace downstairs which, in addition to sun, also offers plenty of shade for the warmer days. All amenities are as we like to see it: modern (new) interior, good quality, fully equipped kitchen, clean & fresh and very nice beds!

The living room offers a nice seat for 4 people, mood lighting, wifi (of course), bluetooth speaker, a holiday book library and some games. The house will be equipped with air conditioning at the beginning of Q1 2019. 

On the ground floor is the master bedroom with a 1 x double bed with access to the downstairs terrace; 2nd bedroom 2x1p beds. There is a bathroom with a fresh new shower, double sinks and toilet. 

The house is of course equipped with a washing machine. 

For the little ones there is a high chair and a camping cot on request. 

The swimming pools are both within walking distance. The beautiful grounds of the infinity pool always have sunbeds free with views over the sea and mountains and are supervised in the summer. The infinity pool is open from mid-June to mid-September. The smaller pool (still very spacious) also has great views and is open from April to December. This small swimming pool is located 15 meters walking distance from Casa Bella Vista.

Almuñecar has a pleasant village center at the foot of the San Miguel castle. The first foundations of the building date from the 1st century and during the Moorish occupation it was expanded into the current fortress with tower and three gates.

The terraces of the many cafes and restaurants are frequented by locals as well as tourists. In the narrow streets of the village you sometimes have an unexpected view of the sea or mountains all around. In the sheltered bay you will find a beach, a marina and the old fishing quay. On the boulevard you can enjoy a simple paella cooked on wood, or a seven-course menu from a star chef. Both Fuentes and Almuñecar start with many hiking and mountain biking routes through the mountains and along the coast.

With the concept of 'basic luxury', Casa Bella Vista aims to offer its guests a very comfortable, modern, contemporary and personal place to stay that remains affordable through an optimal balance between basics and luxury.

The house is located on a hill (120 m altitude) and therefore offers fantastic views. A car is a must for shopping or day trips. Down the mountain is easy to do on foot but a bit sporty uphill;-) Within a few minutes you are in the center of Almunecar or at one of the many beaches! As trips, cities such as Malaga (60 min) and Granada (45 min) are very easy to drive to, as well as Frigiliana, Nerja and the authentic villages in the Alpujarras, Cabo Verde Natural Park and for the adventurers the Caminito del Rey.
