There are very nice hiking trails in the nearby mountains (Sierra del Mestral). Ermita de Santa Marina is an ideal point to start or end a route. It has a restaurant and picnic areas to eat. Locals fill their water bottles here with the clean water from the mountains.

North and south of L'Ametlla de Mar are beautiful coves with clear water and fine sand, such as the beach of Calafat, Cala Calafató and Cala Lo Ribellet.

From Villa Familia you can cycle many kilometers in the immediate vicinity between the orchards, through the fields and along the coast. The landscape is very varied.

There is a long-distance footpath along the beach.
