The Costa CĂĄlida has one thing in common with the other Spanish Costaâs: its superb climate which makes it a fantastic holiday destination all the year around.
MazarrĂłn is the best-known town on the Costa CĂĄlida. MazarrĂłn Bay has over 35 km of beaches and is perfect for water sports and diving. With a holiday home at the Costa CĂĄlida, all of this is within easy reach. Thanks to Micazu, you can always make your reservation directly with the owner who will be able to tell you everything you need to know about the local area.
Costa CĂĄlida: a lake in the middle of the sea
Besides
sunshine, sea and the beach, the Costa CĂĄlida boasts a
rich culture and history. Once upon a time, the Torre de los Caballos was used to protect the area from pirates, but nowadays this impressive fortress draws many tourists. The sandstone monuments in Bolnuevo are another destination worth visiting, and the town of
Alhama de Murcia is home to several beautiful churches and enchanting gardens. First and foremost, the Costa CĂĄlida is a superb destination for a beach holiday. The coastline merges into that of the Mar Menor, a splendid lagoon with a maximum depth of no more than seven metres. This means that the waters are always pleasantly warm. Furthermore, for the first 50 metres or so the waters are really quite shallow. As a result, this beach is very suitable for a holiday with children, older family members or those with limited mobility.
