Our charming wooden log cabin is located on a 56 acre estate in the beautiful Alta Garotxa Nature Reserve. It has a dining area, a living room, a kitchen, bathroom and four bedrooms. This place can accommodate up to six people. The log cabin has a beautiful view of the valley and the mountains, you are in the middle of nature. The log cabin is located 300 meters from the main house, so you can fully enjoy your privacy. In winter, the wood-burning stove provides a cosy, warm atmosphere. The location Alta Garrotxa is a very popular walking and cycling area for nature lovers and peace seekers.

Immersed in the nature of the Alta Garrotxa, Les Gavatxes is an ideal place to come for an individual retreat or for a quiet, relaxing holiday in our self-sufficient location (electricity from solar panels, water from our well and vegetables from our garden).
You are welcome to use our Zendo (meditation/yoga room) for your mindful exercises. Our location is within easy reach of good walking and cycling routes, there is a natural swimming pool for swimming and a river running through the estate. You can wander through the forest, discover the ruins of our medieval castle, simply read a book under the mulberry tree in the main square, or discover our garden and enjoy the view. *Meditation, chi kung and yoga classes are available upon request.
Les Gavatxes is located in the natural reserve of the Alta Garrotxa region, in northern Catalonia. At 660 meters we are nestled in the lower Pyrenees with the highest peaks visible and not far away. The area is rich in wildlife and each season has its own beauty. The Alta Garrotxa region, due to its diversity and exceptional environment, is considered the most important area in the eastern pre-Pyrenees. There are many hiking trails in the area for all levels of difficulty and experience. Besides hiking, La Garrotxa is also one of the best places for cycling in Catalonia, as well as tourism to the beautiful medieval towns, such as Beget and CastellFollit de la Roca.
