After having spent many holidays in Spain and on the Costa Blanca, we finally bought our first home in Moraira. More than 5 years later we wanted to upgrade to a house with more bedrooms and a private swimming pool and the main reason: more sun in the garden. We are therefore very happy with this detached villa, which is equipped with all conveniences and comfort. After all, it is a holiday home and you should enjoy your holiday! And you can certainly enjoy yourself in " El Viaje de la MARIPOSA" . In the periods that we as a family cannot use the house, we would like to rent it out.
Our house is located on the outskirts of Moraira and Benissa, in the very quiet urbanization of San Jaime, within walking distance of the golf course and cozy bar / restaurant. A supermarket can also be reached within a few minutes, as well as a pharmacy, ATM, bars, restaurants, etc. The beach and town of Moraira are only 3 km away from El Viaje de la MARIPOSA . In Moraira you will find numerous restaurants, bars and shops. Moraira has 2 beaches (and many bays) and in the mountainous surroundings of the city you can walk and cycle to your heart's content. The area is beautifully green with alternation between valleys and mountains.
Moraira is located exactly between Valencia and Alicante, with Dénia, Benidorm, Jávea, Calpe, Altea, ... so much variation in culture, nature, entertainment, sun, beach and sea.

"EL VIAJE DE LA MARIPOSA"
At the front of the house there is space to park several cars. The entire house is equipped with plastic frames with double glazing. Windows can be opened in tilt position and are fitted with mosquito nets (renewed in May 2022). You can also have free WIFI throughout the house; a super stable and fast fiber optic connection !!!
The floor of the house is fully tiled. Hot water and heating (in winter) through central heating boiler.

The kitchen is fully equipped, such as a gas hob / induction hob with an oven, microwave, fridge / freezer, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, electric juicer, coffee maker, espresso machine, a food processor with blender, mixer, chopper, ... But also has a dining table standing for 4-8 persons. To avoid unnecessary lugging of full suitcases of clothing , El viaje de la MARIPOSA has a washing machine, dryer, ironing board, drying rack and an iron at your disposal.

Both bathrooms (ground floor and 1st floor) are equipped with a shower, sink and very extensive storage options for toiletries and of course a toilet.

The bedroom on the 1st floor is very spacious and has access to a balcony and has a double bed (180x200), a spacious closet and radiator. Second and third bedroom are on the ground floor. Bedroom 2 has a double bed (160x200), cupboard and radiator. Bedroom 3 has 2 single beds (each 90x200), cupboard and radiator. ALL bedrooms are air-conditioned.

The sofa bed in the living room offers the possibility for 2 extra sleeping places. The TV has satellite channels in Dutch, German, English, Spanish, ... The living room has air conditioning and radiators.

Our outdoor areas are comfortably furnished. For the sliding door from the kitchen we have realized a spacious roof to involve the kitchen in the outdoor area. This has also created a wonderful shady spot, with a dining area.

The garden (approx. 900m2) is located on the south. It is a large cozy garden with lots of Mediterranean plants in beautiful colors. The "front garden" is higher than the rest of the garden, to the right of the carport. Via a staircase you enter the lower garden that offers complete privacy. In addition to the cozy Mediterranean plants, there is also a swimming pool here.
The garden is equipped with various seating options and also several sun beds. So plenty of relaxation options and both sun and shade spots at any time of the day.
The spacious lounge area is equipped with luxurious seat cushions and offers a wonderfully relaxed experience.
And do you feel like lighting the BBQ? Then this is certainly possible, because there is a BBQ!

And of course the pool! The private pool is "kidney-shaped" and approximately 8x4m in size. You enter the pool via the Roman steps. The depth of the pool gradually increases to 190cm. Of course, an outdoor shower cannot be missed. This is equipped with hot water! The pool was completely renovated and retiled at the end of 2022.
