The Surroundings : Our site is located on the large natural park of Montnegre y el Corredor. This nature park is known as a paradise for mountain bikers. From our location it is about a 5-minute drive to the beach. In addition, our site is located near a Golf Club and there are several other Golf Clubs in the area. There are also many Tennis and especially Padel courts in the area.
The train station is on the beach and a 5-minute drive from us and takes you to the center of Barcelona in about 45 minutes. The Costa Brava starts at 35 km and offers many opportunities for surprising day trips to the beautiful coast with its rugged cliffs, hidden coves and turquoise waters or the picturesque medieval villages inland.
There are many MX circuits nearby and the Formula 1 circuit of Catalunya is 30 km away. You can visit and taste vineyards in Allella 20 km away, the Emporda or in the more distant Priorat. There is also the Penedès, a sub-region of Catalonia 90 km away, which is famous for its cava (sparkling wine). Or enjoy the soothing thermal baths in nearby Caldes d'Estrac.
Another popular destination is Montserrat: The Montserrat mountain massif is a breathtaking destination known for its unique rock formations and Montserrat Monastery.
What is certainly also worth a visit are the botanical gardens in this region. Or the unique Cap de Creus Natural Park - which is said to have inspired the famous painter Salvador Dalí in his work.
And then it is always wonderful to come back to the peace and space of our paradise where you are away from the crowds and play a game of jeux-de-boules, relax in the Bali bed, take a splash in the swimming pool or with a good glass of wine simply enjoy the view.
The Cabin : There is a Weber BBQ, covered outdoor terrace with dining table, a private jeux-de-boules court and plenty of space around it to put sun loungers. An open kitchen with cooking island where everything you need is present so that you can cook extensively in peace. There is also a washing machine and dryer.
The living room has a spacious dining table and sitting area with smart TV (Chromecast). The bathroom is also spacious. There are two bedrooms, one of which has a double bed and the other can be set up as a double bed or as two single beds. There is a WiFi (fiber optic) available, making the place suitable for remote work.
Our site is completely fenced and 22,000 m2, but due to the relatively large height differences, it is not suitable for guests with limited mobility.
We welcome our guests to roam freely, with the exception of the private area of the main house. The pool is normally closed between November and the end of April - depending on the weather.
We, Klaas & Jenny are a Dutch couple who came to Spain about 10 years ago. Before coming to Spain we lived in the Netherlands, England, Bangladesh, Hong Kong, Belgium, Germany and France. But the Mediterranean part of Spain has won our hearts. We love nature, animals and tranquility, but also good cooking, food and wine. We live here with our 2 dogs, 3 cats and 11 chickens who provide fresh eggs every day ...
Although our dogs are friendly and loving we recommend that as a guest you are comfortable with dogs as they roam freely on the property and may greet you regularly.
Our house is located between two nearby villages but is in a rather private area that is only accessible via a forest road (500 meters). We recommend our guests to have a vehicle. Free parking is possible on or directly next to the site.
Because we want to offer peace and quiet in a beautiful natural environment, parties or excessive noise that can be disturbing are not allowed. We therefore prefer only adult visitors - if there are children aged 12 or older, this is possible in consultation (swimming pool is not fenced and there are dogs). We would like to point out that we cannot allow more people than indicated when booking (maximum 4). This means that the use of the grounds including the swimming pool is only intended for the guests who have booked.
