The typical Spanish town of Vélez-Málaga is 8 kilometres away, and the seaside resort of Torre del Mar is 12 kilometres away. Both cities have large supermarkets and cosy shops. In La Viñuela, 4 km away, there is a small supermarket. In many villages and towns in the Axarquia there are weekly markets, where bargain hunters can make their move and where you can buy things from the region.
The region offers numerous dining options. In every village there are restaurants or tapas bars. On the coast it is good to eat fish and of course paella!
Casa Pimienta is located 60 kilometers from Málaga International Airport, about 45 minutes drive, and is easily accessible by car.
