Montefrio is located between Granada and Cordoba. With its historic center and many tapas bars, it is a hidden beauty.
Surrounded by olive groves, this pretty Andalusian country house is just a 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk (through olive groves and then a well-lit, wide pavement) from Montefrio with its many shops, bars and restaurants, two beautiful churches and a dramatic castle. rises above the pretty whitewashed town. Located off a well maintained road (absolutely no need for a 4x4), this light, airy and comfortable home is centrally located on its level two acres (fenced and gated) and is secluded but not at all isolated.
On the ground floor there is a double bedroom; a bathroom; and a large, open plan 'L' shaped room with well equipped kitchen, sitting room with patio doors to the terrace, two sofas and a wood burning stove, and a large dining area also with patio doors to the terrace.

On the first floor there are three further bedrooms: one with a super king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom; one with a double bed; and one with two single beds (which can be pushed together if required). There is also a family bathroom on this floor.

The house is fitted with crisp white linen, all bedrooms have fans and there is heating if you are visiting in the winter months when the evenings are chilly.

In the large garage, accessible from the house or the terrace, there is a washing machine.

Outside there is a huge terrace with a shaded area for dining. From the terrace, steps (fenced for safety) lead to a raised swimming pool with further terraces, 8 sun loungers and a shaded area. From the pool terrace, which is sun-drenched from sunrise to sunset, you have a wonderful view of the olive-studded surrounding hills.

The main terrace has a cherry and a persimmon that provide shade when the sun gets too bright; or retreat to the hammock in the shade of the large trees on the side of the house; the veranda provides a wonderfully sunny spot for early morning breakfast in the spring, but is otherwise a fantastically cool place to sit with a good book or cup of coffee.
