Rancho Verde is a historic cortijo located in the outskirts of Colmenar. The accessibility is excellent, right on the quiet, through road.

Peace and space apply to this beautiful location that is also called the Pyrenees of the south. From the various terraces you have beautiful views and from the olive grove you can walk straight into the nature reserve.
In the immediate vicinity many nice white villages, each with its own character.
Due to its central location, Malaga, Granada, Antequera, Mijas, Torcal, Nerja and Frigiliana are easily accessible. Or order tickets for the Caminito del Rey, a true experience. There is so much to do and experience!!

You reach the entrance of the casita via the outside staircase in the yard.
This cosily furnished guesthouse has a sitting area, an open kitchen for preparing simple meals, a bedroom with a king-size bed and an ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom is located on the loft, here a queen size bed. The small patio can be reached from this loft.
A total of 4 people can stay in the casita. If your group is larger, we have a luxurious guest room with balcony and ensuite bathroom in our corijo on the first floor. Contact us for the possibilities.

Meals can be arranged if necessary.
The wood stove can heat the whole well and the thick outer walls ensure that it stays nice and cool inside during the hot summer months.

Guests use the swimming pool (salt water pool) with comfortable sunbeds. Towels for this are provided.
The plot around the cortijo has recently been planted with olive trees and will retain its rugged character as much as possible.
Around the house there are several terraces where you can relax.
There is an honesty bar.

Given the nature of the terrain, we think Rancho Verde is only suitable for children older than 12 years.

There is ample parking space available.

We are Andy and Ellen, from Burgundian Brabant. Our dream has become reality and we have been living at Rancho Verde since 2021, together with our dogs Fleur, Jumo, Nusa and cats Carlos and Luca. Every day we enjoy all the beauty that this beautiful area has to offer.
We both worked as self-employed in the Netherlands, Andy had a plastering company and Ellen had a long career in nursing and had a care workshop for people with dementia and NAH.

Explanation of prices

Any additional costs include use of the honesty bar, meals and wood for the stove.
Cancellation policy:
If the tenant wishes to cancel the booking for any reason, the tenant must always confirm this to the landlord by e-mail (even if this has already been communicated to the landlord by telephone, for example). The landlord will charge the following amounts, depending on the date of written cancellation by the tenant:

cancellation more than 3 months before the start of the rental period: free of charge
cancellation between the 90th and the 60th day before the start of the rental period: 25% of the rental price
cancellation between the 59th and the 30th day before the start of the rental period: 50% of the rental price
cancellation less than 30 days before the start of the rental period: 100% of the rental price

If the tenant only announces on the start date or during the rental period that he or she will no longer use the rented property, he will still owe the full rental price.
