Our holiday apartment is located in the middle of the beautiful Axarquía region, in the municipality of Almáchar. A fantastic region with white mountain villages such as Almáchar, El Borge and Moclinejo. There is a multitude of traditional fiestas, plenty of hiking trails with beautiful views, and only a 25-minute drive from the coast. The center of Almáchar can be reached within 5 minutes by car and can be walked in about 25 minutes via a beautiful route.
The apartment is completely renovated and modern, but attractively furnished and located in a rural casa with authentic Spanish elements. With a lot of love and attention, a complete and beautiful interior has been taken care of. The apartment is on the ground floor and has a very spacious garden with lots of privacy and contains a swimming pool, terrace and BBQ. The apartment is about 40 m2 in size and can accommodate up to 2 people, there is a spacious bedroom with a double bed and closet space. In addition, there is a cozy open living room with kitchen, there is a (sleeping) sofa and there is a television/radio. There is a separate, lockable bathroom with walk-in shower, toilet and sink.
Casa en las Viñas is located in the countryside ('campo') near the lively, picturesque white mountain village of Almáchar, here you can sit down on a terrace for breakfast or tapas with a drink, both in the morning and in the evening there are plenty of restaurants and bars open, making the village feel very lively. There are several shops such as a number of neighborhood supermarkets, a pharmacy, a butcher, a fishmonger, a bakery, there is an ATM/bank and several kiosks where you can go for a drink and a snack on a square. In the village there is also a somewhat larger municipal swimming pool and there are Petanque courts. This region is known for the Moscatel grape, during a walk in our area you will see the endless grape fields, fruit plantations, rolling hills and rugged mountains. The region is good for a long walk, there are several routes indicated, from the apartment you can walk a number of them. Malaga city is a 40-minute drive away.
The apartment is located at the rear of our rustic, rural, detached villa and has a modern interior with authentic elements. In 2025 the apartment will be completely renovated. The garden has a spacious swimming pool (8×4 meters) with sunbeds, an outdoor shower, an outdoor kitchen with BBQ, an outdoor fireplace and dining table. Enjoy a breakfast in the sun or a refreshing dip when you return from a beautiful day. There is also plenty of opportunity to prepare a meal inside. In principle, the pool and garden are private as we take each other into account, which means that we use them as much as possible when our guests are out and about.
We are only accessible by car via a well-maintained paved road. It is necessary to rent a car (if you have to travel) to get to the apartment and to see the surroundings. You will be sent directions and location after booking so you can easily find it.
