Villa

WELCOME TO KHAMKIRRI.........A GREAT EXPERIENCE!!!

Khamkirri means 'place of the leopard', which sounds exactly like the experience will be: unforgettable and exciting! Exciting yes, because what comes out of the bush? Is that a giraffe? Kudu or …….. ? Especially in the evening when you sit on the veranda enjoying a drink, the creaking of the bush is a great experience. How about soaking in the splash pool on the veranda overlooking the bush!

Kruger Park is very close so you can experience all the sounds from the veranda. The park is very easy to visit from the villa, the entrance is almost around the corner (approx. 20 minutes drive from the villa).

The villa is an original bush house with a thatched roof, so you can taste the real African atmosphere. The interior, bathrooms and bedrooms are also fully in style. In addition, there are two outdoor showers (with rain shower head) so that you can enjoy nature while taking a shower!

To cook? A breeze! The villa is equipped with a large kitchen where you can enjoy cooking together or you can use the nice outdoor kitchen with braai (African BBQ) that is fully equipped. You can have breakfast on the veranda or in the special place in the garden, with perhaps a warthog for company.

Do not feel like cooking? Even that is an option in Marloth park, where there are several wonderful restaurants. The villa is ideal for a larger family or group! There are no less than 8 sleeping places, 4 of which are in a separate building so that everyone can create their own place if desired.

Looking for a great, exciting but above all unique experience in South Africa? Visit Khamkirri! We are happy to welcome you there and will make sure that you lack nothing! Khamkirri has its own network, so Wifi (internet) is available 24/7 for FREE!

When we, John and Monique, rented a house in Marloth Park for the first time in 2011, we soon realized that this place in South Africa could become our favorite spot. In 2013 we went back to find a house for ourselves. Villa Khamkirri was love at first sight! What a wonderful place to stay. Peace, nature and wildlife around you. Everything to enjoy and relax. We would like to share this experience! Welcome to Villa Khamkirri!

Marloth Park is adjacent to the south of the world famous Kruger National Park and is located between the towns of Malelane and Komatipoort. The park is more than 1500 hectares and consists of more than 4,500 pieces of land on which several houses are built. Between these pieces of land is parkland present. This should absolutely not be built. These pieces parkland are so-called corridors for wildlife. The park is fenced and has two guarded entrance gates. The infrastructure is fairly good call. Marloth Park has only one paved road, the main road (Elephant Drive) that runs from the Western Gate to the east gate. All other roads are unpaved and occasionally here and there "bumpy". So on the dirt roads not speeding.

The most important and interesting to the Marloth Park is the fact that the park is full of wild beasts. The wildlife roams free in the park and they have at all times take precedence over all. You will see them regularly in our garden walk and that makes the stay in our villa just it so unique. What can you expect in game: zebra, giraffe, kudu, baboons, monkeys vervet-, wildebeest, warthog, duiker little, impala. But there are also predators in the park such as cheetahs and leopards! So in the evening do not go walking around like that. On the veranda and braai area you can actually just enjoy tasty without being in danger.

Marloth Park is equipped with various facilities. So you have here Henk van Rooyen park. Here is a large swimming pool with facilities such as toilets and changing rooms. It is also possible to play a game of tennis or volleyball here. Or you can eat, and this is a barbecue and sitting enjoying the Crocodile River.

At the park, there are two places where you can do and can even fill your groceries. These places are called Trading Post and Bush center. Here you will find a small grocery store, a liquor store and even a hardware store. The Bush-center is also a bar and a restaurant. Opposite the bar is also an ATM that you can go with all credit cards. There are some brokers and a souvenir shop on site. Also here you can find the internet and is also a laundry. There is also a butcher where you can buy delicious meat for the braai. You can also go here for campfire and all the other stuff for your braai.
The Swaziland border is approximately a 40 minute drive from villa Khamkirri.

Swaziland is a small kingdom in size slightly smaller than the Kruger park. Most visitors travel through Swaziland over from the Kruger Park and the Panorama Route in South Africa's Mpumalanga Kwa Zulu Natal or vice versa.

On the road between these two destinations Swaziland offers a decidedly personal experience. The Swati its friendly, welcoming people. Moreover, the country has a number of specific locations that are worthwhile as the Ezulwini Valley - also known as the Valley of the Kings which are sold from innumerable stalls carvings and other artistic present.
In this part of the country are most of the hotels and making countless trips to: the traditional village Mantenga in its namesake park including the highest waterfall in Swaziland (95 m).

In addition, Swaziland offers safari parks as Mlilwane & Hlane and you can see in the west of the country how traditional glass blowing.
Panorama route should not be missed if you are in South Africa, it is one of the most beautiful destinations. For a holiday to South Africa'm often immediately think of the Kruger park and wildlife, Cape Town and the wines, but there is also beautiful nature.

Panorama route takes you past spectacular views and beautiful places.
The route leads you through the rugged mountains of the Northern Drakensberg in the Mpumalanga province. Looking from the Drakensberg there is a huge, abrupt depth, which makes for a fantastic view of the plains of the reserve thousand feet below.

The panoramic route takes you along the Blyde River Canyon, Bourke's Luck potholes and God's windows. Other highlights include the Falls in Graskop and Sabie and beautiful cities like Haze View, Ohrigstad and Pilgrims Rest.
Jane Goodall Institute Chimp Eden

Chimp Eden is located in the beautiful area of the Umhloti park, about 15km outside Nelspruit. It was founded in 1977 Jane Goodal Institute adheres to today doing research on the behavior of chimpanzees with the aim of preventing and extinction of endangered species and their habitat focused on chimpanzees.

The chimpanzees residing in Chimp Eden are the lucky ones, they have the opportunity to escape from their trauma and to heal in a safe environment with the necessary attention and care. Chimpanzees stay as natural as possible during the day in a simulated game fenced area in which they live in a group and their natural social behavior can recover.

At present there are three different groups residing in three fenced stay with lookouts overlooking the forest and feeding areas. Through these lookouts visitors and volunteers can observe the chimpanzees in their natural environment and study.
For our guests we have available two complete golf equipment. The sets consist of a putter, a wedge, driver, 3 wood and 5 wood and graphite irons 5 - SW.
In the golf bags are also plenty of tees, a divot tool and a marker.

You do not have to go running lugging your golf equipment. There are plenty of challenging courses available near Villa Khamkirri.

For all golf courses nearby, please see our website.
