Ostrich Hide is our new modern self catering house in the bush of Marloth Park where game roams freely between the houses. The view of parkland offers a lot of privacy and regular visits from kudu, impala, warthog, bushbuck, duiker, zebra, gnu and giraffe, as well as many species of birds.
The house offers you a lot of privacy, luxury and space... in short, "the place to be" for a wonderful bush experience...
We offer you 2 bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, an outdoor bathroom, a spacious cozy living room, the kitchen with breakfast bar is fully equipped with all the luxuries of home, including dishwasher and washer/dryer combination. The splash pool offers cooling on a hot summer day. The spacious patio has a comfortable lounge set, dining table and sun loungers, as well as a built-in BBQ. In South Africa, loadshedding applies, which means no power for several hours a day. To alleviate this somewhat, we have an inverter with backup batteries that supplies the lamps and fans with power. The WiFi has its own backup.

Explanation of the prices & cancellation policy

Reservations: When we receive your reservation request, we will send you a confirmation as soon as possible as well as our rental conditions. About 2 weeks before your stay you will receive information about the house and the surrounding area by email. By booking you automatically agree to our rental conditions.
Cancellation policy Due to an unforeseen event, it may happen that the stay cannot take place or only partially. The landlord therefore advises the tenant to take out cancellation insurance and/or travel insurance. If the tenant cancels the concluded agreement for any reason, the cancellation conditions come into effect
a. full refund if canceled more than 1 month before the start date
b. in case of cancellation within four to two weeks before the start date, 50% of the rent;
c. in case of cancellation within two to one week before the commencement date, 75% of the rental sum;
d. in case of cancellation within one week before the commencement date, 90% of the rental sum;
e. in case of cancellation on the day of the commencement date, 100% of the rental amount.

You are free to walk, jog in Marloth park during the day
or cycling. Between sunset and sunrise it is not allowed to walk or cycle in the park, this is for your own safety.

Don't feel like cooking?
There are a few restaurants in Marloth where life is good.
The contact info can be found in the guestguide in the house.

Most people stay in Marloth because it is so close to the Kruger Park.
Very logical!
The nearest entrance is Crocodile Bridge, where you can do a self drive or an organized game drive with an OSV (Open Safari Vehicle) and a guide who will give you all kinds of info during the ride.

For a morning, day, night drive or morning walk you can go to the Kruger Park itself. In Marloth there are several organizations that also organize these drives, but only during the day.

It is also possible to take part in a so-called bush braai, where you will be taken to the place of the braai in the Kruger Park in an OSV. This is a very nice experience.
