Beautiful and very well maintained villa, located in the village of Mesquitela, belonging to the town of Mangualde. House is suitable for several families while maintaining privacy. It contains two separate front doors, one on the ground floor and one on the 1st floor. Contains six large bedrooms with large balconies, two kitchens and four bathrooms. In total, the house has four floors with a total of 550 m2. One of the rooms has a private bathroom. The villa is equipped with air conditioning and swimming pool, as well as very fast WiFi. You can also watch TV "normally", both Portuguese and Dutch channels. All ceilings in the house are beautifully carved. Stained glass windows complete it. The house has several places to sit quietly and enjoy the surroundings, both at the front and rear.
There is plenty to do in and around the house. There are two table tennis tables, as well as a professional pool table and a table football. Basketball is also possible, as well as fitness. There are many well-known games in the house, from Mens Erger je Niet to Risk. The land around the house is 4500 M2.
There are two cots available, for ages up to 2 years.
There are 42 fruit trees on the site, including nine cherry trees. You can also enjoy the many roses on the site. Picnics are also possible with the outdoor picnic. On the hill that belongs to the house you can eat outside. This hill is our pride, we have created it ourselves. From there you can enjoy a great view of the green surroundings.
The area is also popular for hiking and cycling. Road bikes and mountain bikes are provided and can be used free of charge.
Mangualde is a quiet and friendly town with 22000 inhabitants. All the major hypermarkets are represented here for groceries. You can also eat very cheaply, starting with a delicious breakfast. A complete dinner starts at €8.50 p.p. And don't forget the delicious chicken. Nowhere is it as delicious as in Mangualde at "Galitos"!
The area is characterized by beautiful nature. Portugal's highest mountain, the Serra da Estrela, is a short distance away. The mountain is characterized by its rugged nature and many lakes. The summit is at an altitude of 2000 meters. Here you can even ski in winter. The university city of Coimbra is also within an hour's drive. A trip to Spain (Salamanca) is also possible.
The largest city in the immediate vicinity, Viseu, also offers the necessary entertainment. This bustling city is also home to the Palacio do Gelo (Ice Palace), a large indoor shopping center where you can shop extensively and eat well. There is also a fitness centre, a cinema and a bowling alley. To top it all off, an ice rink has been created on the top floor of the complex. The town is a 15-minute drive from Mangualde. In the vicinity of Viseu is also the golf course of Montebelo, so golf enthusiasts will also get their money's worth.
Mangualde is also ideally located from there to make (castle) trips to the north and south. In Mangualde there is also the only artificial beach in Europe with real seawater. If you prefer a real beach, the beaches at Aveiro are a 1-hour drive away on a beautiful road. Mira beach is my favorite. This is located near Coimbra.
If you want to wake up to the sound of the woodpecker or the cuckoo, then this house is definitely for you! For the time being, you will be taken care of by my parents-in-law/parents. They speak Dutch. We are always available via the app or phone.
