Very easy to reach (only 60 minutes drive from Porto International Airport or from Vigo - Spain - airport and only 50 minutes drive from Porto International Airport) this villa is absolutely centrally located: only 2 km away (15 minutes walk) from The sandy beaches of Caminha - from the train station you can travel to Vigo in Spain or south to the historic center of Viana do Castelo - and 2.5 km from the ancient Roman city of Caminha (with several good restaurants, cafes, bars, lively promenades and open-air promenades around the Minho River waterfront) and 35 km from the beautiful old historic city of Viana do Castelo, famous for its ancient monuments and long sandy beaches. Basic amenities such as a mini market, shops, restaurants etc can be found within a 20 minute walk. Today, Caminha has much more friendly relations with its neighbor and there is a daily ferry that connects the two banks of the river. On a small island in the middle of the estuary are the ruins of the fortress of Ínsua, built to defend the entrance to the river in the fifteenth century. There are other several sandy beaches within a short drive. This villa is fully air-conditioned.

The sands of Vila Praia de Âncora (10 minutes from the villa) stretch from the fishing port to the river Âncora which reaches the coast here after a 15-kilometre descent through the hills of Serra de Arga, an attractive natural setting with some good walking conditions. This huge beach experiences some strong Atlantic waves, which means high-quality surfing. This city is also known for the variety of good seafood and fresh seafood restaurants.
