Casa Rio is located in the center of Portugal, the ideal base for discovering this beautiful country.

Between Ribatejo, the pine forests and the mountains of Central Portugal , near the blue lagoon of Albufeira, lies Ferreira Do Zêzere, crossed by the river O Rio Zêzere .

Land of hills and valleys where beauty is shown in every detail and time seems to have stood still. Here there is silence and peace , a silence that is only broken by birds and the murmur of the water and the wind. Huge and shining water surfaces are flanked by green mountains , this is Ferreira do Zêzere. Casa Rio has a view of the Rio Zêzere river.
The river beach is a 6-minute walk away.

The house was completely renovated in 2023 into 2 fully furnished living areas “Amalia” (accommodation for 6 people) and “Saramago” (accommodation for 6 people)..

Since 2012 we have been in Cardal, Ferreira do Zêzere every summer where we found our 'ceu na terra'.
In 2016 we bought a ruin with a view of the river. The ruin was completely renovated and in 2023 we could finally speak of Casa Rio, a house with 2 residential units, Amalia & Saramago. If we are not present, you will be welcomed by Lucilia, our caretaker...

Explanation of the prices & cancellation policy

The renter can cancel any booking without costs within 5 days from the booking date.
Cancellations must be communicated to the landlord by e-mail. Immediately after receiving the cancellation, the landlord will send a cancellation confirmation by e-mail.
If you cancel from the 5th ^after booking confirmation until the ^42nd day (6 weeks) before the start of your stay, the cancellation costs are 30% of the rental amount.
If you cancel between the ^42nd day (6 weeks) and the ^28th day (4 weeks) before the start of your stay, the cancellation costs amount to 60% of the rental amount.
If you cancel between the ^28th day (4 weeks) and the ^3rd day before the start of your stay, the cancellation costs amount to 90% of the rental price.
If you cancel on the 2nd day before the start of your stay or later, the cancellation costs amount to 100% of the rental amount.
