A cancellation is only valid after it has been received in writing by the landlord. Depending on the date of the written cancellation drawn up by the tenant, the landlord will charge the following amounts:

• In case of cancellation up to 90 days (exclusive) before the start of the rental period: free of charge
• In case of cancellation from 90 days (inclusive) to 42 days (exclusive) before the start of the rental period: 30% of the rental price
• In case of cancellation from 42 days (inclusive) to 28 days (exclusive) before the start of the rental period: 50% of the rental price
• In case of cancellation from 28 days (inclusive) to 14 days (exclusive) before the start of the rental period: 75% of the rental price
• In case of cancellation from 14 days (inclusive) before the start of the rental period: 100% of the rental price
• If the tenant only announces on the day of the start of the rental period or during the rental period that he will not make any use of the rented property (anymore), the tenant will continue to owe the full rent for the booked period.

A booked period can be rebooked up to 42 days (inclusive) before the start of the rental period in consultation with and permission from the landlord.

The landlord reserves the right to cancel the reservation in the event of unforeseen circumstances or force majeure that make the stay impossible. In this case, the amount already paid will be refunded in full. The landlord is not liable for further damage and costs caused to the tenant by the cancellation.
Force majeure includes natural disasters, extreme weather conditions, government measures, epidemics and disruptions in utilities. In such cases, there is no right to additional compensation from the landlord.
The renter is responsible for taking out cancellation and/or travel insurance. Illness, personal circumstances, weather conditions or travel problems do not entitle you to cancellation free of charge.
