Casa do Forno is a wonderful place for a couple or a family with 2 children who love nature and culture. But you also want to enjoy the quiet and the sun at the spacious swimming pool.

The living area consists of a spacious sitting area and a separate dining area, furnished with a loving mix of Portuguese vintage and finds. The unusually shaped kitchen, in which the original opening of the oven is integrated as a detail with the kitchen, is fully equipped; a fridge with freezer compartment, an induction hob (4-burner), an oven, coffee machine for cups, a kettle and the necessary crockery with cutlery.

The two bedrooms of Casa do Forno are located in the extension. The master bedroom has a double bed (160x200), a chest of drawers and a vintage chair. The children's room has a bunk bed for two people, with room for a cot if necessary.
The bathroom is small but nice and beautifully designed. There is a toilet, shower and a sink with storage space underneath.

The patio doors provide access to the large garden and private terrace; a cozy furnished gazebo that is partially closed.

The apartment Casa do Forno is part of an old wine farm (quinta) with almost 2 hectares of land, which was converted in 2017 into a guesthouse consisting of 3 accommodations.
Each apartment has its own charm due to the special design, but also because the authentic details have been preserved.

Our quinta is located in the Silver Coast, 10 kilometers from the sea as the crow flies (20/25 minutes drive). There is something for everyone; child-friendly beaches on a bay, such as in São Martinho do Porto and Foz do Arelho. Beaches with a rough sea, such as in Salgado. Beaches in an old fishing village where you can eat delicious fish in the afternoon or evening, such as in Nazaré.

There is also no lack of culture.
Every day there is something to see or visit.
Just a few: The walled medieval town of Óbidos. The largest monastery in Portugal in Alcobaca, with its impressive original soup kitchen (on the UNESCO list. The university city of Coimbra with its pleasant shopping streets (the university is on the UNESCO list). Convento de Cristo, very impressive Templar church in Tomar (also on the UNESCO list).

In short, everything is there for a complete holiday in Portugal!

We, Claudia and Fadi (2011) moved in 2014 from busy Amsterdam to the green and hilly Silver Coast of Portugal. After working for 2 years at the B&B of Fadi's grandfather and grandmother, I decided to buy an old wine farm and convert it into 3 accommodations; Casa do Forno (4 pers), Adega (4 pers) and Curral (2 pers). I like to share my passion for 'living' with my guests, by offering a unique place and making them feel at ease during their holiday.

Explanation of the prices & cancellation policy

DEPOSIT AND CANCELLATION

We would like to send you a confirmation by e-mail with the payment details after your reservation
Your reservation is final when you have paid 1/3 of the rental price
This deposit must be in our bank account within 2 weeks after the reservation
The remaining amount must be paid 1 month before the day of arrival
The amount will be transferred to our Dutch bank account
It is not possible to reclaim the deposit (30% of the total rental amount). You can cover that risk by taking out cancellation insurance
Have you paid the full amount, and you are unfortunately forced to cancel? Then the following rules apply:

Cancellation up to 1 month before arrival: 70% of the total amount will be refunded
Cancellation after 1 month before arrival: 0% of the total amount will be refunded

OTHERS

In the low season (September to June) the minimum number of nights for the Adega and Casa do Forno is 4 nights. For the Curral there is a minimum of 3 nights.
In high season, the minimum number of days is 7, and the rental is from Saturday to Saturday (the latter does not apply to the Curral)
The apartments are non-smoking inside
Use of the outdoor kitchen is possible in consultation
Quinta Ninho d'águia is not responsible for any accidents and cannot be held liable for damage, loss and theft of/to your property
The use or entry of the apartment, veranda, garden and swimming pool is the responsibility of the visitor
If you destroy or damage Quinta Ninho d'águia property during your stay, you will be charged
Check-in time is from 16:00 on the day of arrival
Check-out time is until 11.00 am on the day of departure
