Beautiful and bright family villa with 3 air-conditioned bedrooms surrounded by nature. Sesimbra has been voted 1 of the 2 most special places in Portugal in the list of "European best destinations"!

The house:
Casa Branca is a beautiful family villa and the perfect base for your trip to Sesimbra. Spacious and bright house, very tasteful, bohemian style decorated with a mix of modern and traditional elements. The villa has 4 sunny balconies and a large garden. Only 8 minutes by car to the city of Sesimbra with its beautiful beaches and 5 minutes from  beaches such as Praia do Meco (6 km). Our house has views over our 6000m2 private valley surrounded by rocks, with room for a lovely walk in our private grounds with numerous fruit trees. We have a lot of privacy in this area. The villa stands at the end of a quiet road.

The entrance is on the first floor, which can be reached by stairs. On this level you will find the living room which opens onto the balcony through 4 French doors. In addition to the recently renovated kitchen inside, there is a large outdoor kitchen with dining table for 8 people. The master bedroom with a private balcony has an en suite bathroom. There is also a 2nd bedroom with balcony. (Please note that this bedroom is closed). On this floor is the extra renovated bathroom with shower, bath and toilet.

On the floor below (renovated June 1 , 2024) are 2 bedrooms, 1 common room and a bathroom. This level has its own entrance, so great if you want to leave or arrive and not wake up the whole family. 

Casa Branca was renovated in the spring of 2022 while retaining the characteristic Portuguese elements.

The area
Sesimbra is home to a Moorish castle. The position of Sesimbra Castle was crucial to the defense of Portugal, and the castle was one of the first victories for Portugal's Christian conquest from the Moors in 1165. The castle stands 230 meters (755 feet) above the fishing village and has fantastic views.

Sesimbra has a huge fishing heritage and a lively fishing port. Sesimbra is mainly a fishing village, so the fish in the fish restaurants is always fresh. The marina is also a trendy place to relax. A short drive to the western tip, Cabo Espichel, with impressive cliffs, is home to a pilgrimage church, a lighthouse with even... Dinosaur footprints and tracks!

East of the city of Sesimbra in Serra da Arrábida, where you can find beautiful beaches hidden behind lush hills. It is a great place for walkers and cyclists. For those looking for some adrenaline, you can go mountain biking and kayaking along the coastline of cliffs, caves, and beaches. 

The fortress of Santiago has existed alongside the community of Sesimbra for 365 years. It was built when danger came from the sea and the sea borders had to be defended.
