Here time moves just a little slower. In the morning you can enjoy the peace and quiet of the village, and then the region is at your feet. Wander through the nearby historic aldeias where history can be felt on every street corner, or cool off in the beautiful barragems (reservoirs) and idyllic river beaches (praias fluviais). The crystal clear waters of the region are the place to be for a refreshing dip on a hot summer's day.
Although the village is wonderfully quiet, there is plenty to do in the area! The summer and public holidays in Beira Baixa are known for their vibrant local village festivals, markets, music and cultural events. The house still has a really authentic wooden floor and is nicely decorated in the Netherlands. In the large garden there are very old olive trees and orange trees. A nice breakfast on the cozy balcony cannot be missed on your holiday.
