Quinta do Braceiro

Beautiful and very well maintained villa, located in the village of Mesquitela, belonging to the town of Mangualde. House is suitable for several families while maintaining privacy. It contains two separate front doors, one on the bg and one on the 1st floor. Contains six large bedrooms with large balconies, two kitchens and four bathrooms. In total, the house has four floors with a total of 550 m2. One of the rooms has a private bathroom. The villa has air conditioning and swimming pool, as well as very fast WiFi. You can also "just" watch TV, both Portuguese and Dutch channels. All the ceilings in the house are beautifully crafted. Stained glass windows make it complete.
There is plenty to do in and around the house. There are two table tennis tables available, as well as a professional pool table and a table football. On the grounds around the house, 4500 m in size, you can play a game of football. Basketball is also possible.

There are 42 fruit trees on the property, including nine cherry trees. You can also enjoy the many roses on the property. You can also have a picnic with the outdoor picnic. You can eat outside on the hill that belongs to the house. This hill is our pride, we created it ourselves. From there you can enjoy a great view of the green surroundings.
In the area you can also enjoy hiking and cycling. Road bikes and mountain bikes are provided and can be used free of charge.

Mangualde is a quiet and friendly town with 22000 inhabitants. All major hypermarkets are represented here for groceries. You can also eat very cheaply, starting with a delicious breakfast. A complete dinner starts at €7 pp And don't forget the delicious chicken. Nowhere is it as good as in Mangualde at "Galitos"!

The area is characterized by beautiful nature. The highest mountain in Portugal, the Serra da Estrela, is a short distance away. The mountain is characterized by its rugged nature and the many lakes. The top is at 2000 meters altitude. You can even ski here in winter. The university city of Coimbra is also within an hour's drive. A trip to Spain (Salamanca) is also an option.
The largest city in the immediate vicinity, Viseu, also offers the necessary entertainment. This bustling city also houses the Palacio do Gelo (Ice Palace), a large indoor shopping center where you can shop extensively and eat well. There is also a fitness centre, a cinema and a bowling alley. To top it all off, an ice rink has been created on the top floor of the complex. The town is a 15-minute drive from Mangualde. The golf course of Montebelo is also located in the vicinity of Viseu, so golf enthusiasts will also get their money's worth.

Mangualde is also ideally located to make (castle) trips to the north and south from there. In Mangualde is also the only artificial beach in Europe with real sea water. If you prefer to go to a real beach, the beaches at Aveiro are a 1-hour drive along a beautiful road. Mira beach is my favorite. This is located near Coimbra.
If you want to wake up to the sound of the woodpecker or the cuckoo, then this house is definitely for you! You will be cared for by my in-laws/parents for the time being. They speak Dutch. We are always available via the app or telephone.
