Holiday Villa Casa Renate

This beautiful, luxurious holiday villa is located 700 mtr. height in the Alta Beira, a beautiful mountainous, quiet, green part of Portugal and is equipped with camera surveillance.

This fine Casa was built in 1998 and is fully equipped. You can fully enjoy a wonderful, extremely comfortable holiday with complete privacy.

Everything is provided in the house and all you need to bring is your clothes and toiletries.

Around the house is a beautiful garden and the ground consists of woods and a large plot with sweet chestnut trees, sloping into the valley. Total area 8000 m2. A wonderful place to spend a beautiful holiday in complete privacy.
Not only is it good to stay on the large terraces , but you will also find seats in the garden and the forest to fully enjoy the view and/or tranquility.
From our garden you can take the most beautiful walks , including marked walks.

The saltwater swimming pool (the water is not salty but is kept clean with natural salt) was completely renovated in 2012 and is heated by solar panels on the roof. and since 2022 a heat pump has been installed for the periods before and after the season.

Around the pool you will find 3 spacious terraces with sunbeds, chairs (with cushions), table, barbecue and large parasol. Towels are widely available.
A 2nd bathroom and kitchenette next to the pool provide a complete holiday feeling by the pool.
Looking for some coolness: The large wine cellar is also open to our guests, where you can choose a bottle of wine. (for the compensation you can leave something in a special jar that is in the room)

The tennis court is used by the residents of the other 10 houses on the mountain and is a 2 minute walk from the house. Rackets and balls are provided.

Layout of the house:

Ground floor:

• Double garage with laundry area (dryer/washing machine, etc.)
• Large wine cellar, where it is nice and cool to sit on hot days.
• 2nd bathroom with shower, toilet, sink
• kitchenette with microwave, ice maker, refrigerator, etc.

1st floor = entrance house:

• large living room with dining area, fireplace . Furniture Jan de Bouvry.
• open (new) kitchen with all appliances. Crockery etc. are widely available.
• very large, partly covered terrace . (see photos), with heating and gas barbecue.

2nd floor:

• 3 bedrooms,
• a work corner with tourist information, books
• spacious bathroom.

The 2 large bedrooms each have a twin bed springbox, washbasin, 2 cupboards, table and chairs.
The smaller bedroom has 2x a single bed, cupboard, chair, bedside tables.

All three bedrooms are bright and sunny and have a view of both the garden and the valley.

In the summer you keep the heat out by closing the shutters.

The advantage of living at 700 mtr. The altitude is that it is warm during the day, but not stuffy and the nights are pleasant.

On a cool evening, cozy by the fireplace, curled up on one of the sofas, light a candle, have a glass of wine, put on a DVD or CD, that can give the feeling that life is very good.
During the spring and autumn there can be cooler days, but then the new central heating system will keep the house comfortably warm.

Portugal is a country with a very rich history:

In the Beiras, in addition to the very old villages, there are also beautiful cities to visit, where you can fully enjoy architecture, beautiful churches, beautiful tiles, Roman remains, etc.
If you are interested in the history/culture/nature of a country, you can indulge yourself in the immediate vicinity of our house.
Directly from home you can go mountain biking and make beautiful walks .

The Chave Grande campsite in Casfreires (approx. 10 min walk) organizes tennis, table tennis, etc. competitions for both adults and children.
They also have car and walking routes available for a small price.

Restaurants are in abundance, it is good and cheap food.
In addition, people like to drink a glass of Port or a cup of coffee throughout the day in one of the many cafes.
Nowadays there is a disco in the area for the youth. (distance 5 km.)

In the Alta Beira life is a very good life!!!
