We have just returned from a fantastic week at Casa Renate. The house was completely in line with our expectations, so that means that the description and photos are a fine representation of reality. We never go back to the same destination, but otherwise this Casa would have been at the top of the list. Just book is our recommendation!!

Had a wonderful holiday in villa casa Renate. 2100 kilometers is easy to travel by car in 2 days. This year we were looking for a holiday destination in a non-touristy area with peace and quiet and a private swimming pool. This is what we found at casa Renate. Wonderful tranquility and almost no tourists to be seen in the area. The villa itself is fully equipped, spacious and very nice. Also nice location. And compared to villas in tourist areas, very affordable. In short, highly recommended.
Nice to walk in the immediate vicinity and a trip to the highest mountain of Portugal (on the mainland) is highly recommended, how beautiful there.

We have been in this house for 1 week on holiday. We had chosen this house for the view and the heated pool. And we enjoyed the view, but unfortunately we didn't swim much. The pool heater was faulty so the water remained very cold. The (water) solar panels on the roof leaked water (four visible leaks) so that the system only pumped air around. We had informed the employee of the campsite about the broken heating, but unfortunately it could not be repaired in the short term. Also, the pool was not clean at first and it was only cleaned after 2 days (at our request).
We were also shocked by the amount of cockroaches in the house, something is of course possible, but it was considerable. Something really needs to be done about this. So we didn't have a wonderful week and are not going to rent this house anymore.

Casa Renate is truly a lovely place to stay. Nice pool, nice terraces, nice house, beautiful views, peace and quiet. We had a wonderful stay, together with our children of 14, 18 and 20 years old. Truly a dream casa...
