Location
The villa is located in the charming village of Figueira, in a quiet courtyard with other villas and has a communal swimming pool. Figueira is located between Lagos (12 km) and Sagres (15 km), and is the perfect base to visit the beautiful beaches in the area.
The beach of Figueira is a 20-minute walk away and the pleasant seaside resort of Salema is 2.5 km away.
The House
The villa consists of two floors, with 3 bedrooms on the ground floor. You can walk straight into the garden from each bedroom. There is good sun protection, so you can sleep cool and dark and there are fans available. One of the bedrooms has an ensuite bathroom with bath and toilet. There is also a separate bathroom with shower and toilet. The other two bedrooms each have two 1-person box springs.
On the upper floor you will find the spacious open living room with sitting area and television, and a dining area with 6 chairs. There is also a complete kitchen with all amenities and appliances, including oven, microwave and dishwasher. Kitchen textiles available. There is a separate toilet upstairs.
The living room has two balconies on the southwest, from where you have a beautiful view over the village and the valley. For the cool days in the winter there is a wood stove in the living room, and a portable electric heater.
There is WiFi and a chromecast is available, so you can also watch Netflix with your own subscription!

The garden
You can relax or eat together on the spacious terrace on the Southwest. You can choose whether you want to sit on the stone bench in the corner, in the dining area, on a lounger, or even the hammock. There is also a fixed BBQ!
Parking
The house has its own parking space in front of the house. You will find more parking a few tens of meters away, outside the courtyard.
Swimming pool
In the middle of the courtyard is a shared swimming pool, with a separate children's pool. The swimming pool is heated from spring to autumn. The beautiful garden around the pool is well maintained and provides a tropical holiday feeling.
Weather
The temperature in Western Algarve is pleasant all year round. In summer it rarely gets warmer than 30 degrees, and in winter temperatures remain mild. That is why it is one of the favorite places to spend the winter in Europe.
Target audience
We welcome families with children or adults with respect for people and nature. The accommodation is located in a quiet park and we like to take our neighbors into account. This is a wonderful place to enjoy yourself, but you are not in the right place for noisy parties.

Figueira & tips in the area
In the authentic village with nice little streets, there are a number of restaurants & cafes, and a very small shop for daily groceries. A large supermarket (Intermarché) is a 5-minute drive away. In Salema, the nearest seaside resort (2 km), you can also have a nice dinner or drink on the beach. Travel time by car to Faro airport is approximately one hour.
The house is a 10-20 minute drive from many beautiful beaches on both the South and West coasts, where there are good surf spots and where you can walk and hike over the rocks.

As far as we are concerned, a hidden gem is the village of Pedralva, where you can enjoy a delicious meal at restaurant Sitio da Pedralva. The bread with a filling of cod and vegetable sauce is highly recommended! Lagos is also worth a visit, with its harbor, nice markets, shops, cafes and restaurants, and beautiful beaches such as Praia Dona Ana and Meia Praia. In Sagres you will find the most southwestern point of Europe, with Cabo de São Vicente and the Fortaleza fortress. There you can enjoy hiking, water sports and visit the fort. The area is very suitable for surfing, because you are close to both the south and west coasts.
