Surrounded by beautiful nature with a view of 'Sneeuwkop' (1602 m), equipped with every comfort, while retaining the atmosphere of the 150-year-old farmhouse, this house is the perfect base to discover Lower Silesia, the Tuscany of Central Europe.

The holiday home is located in the middle of the beautiful and fascinating Valley of Parks and Castles, where you can visit 26 castles and fortresses in various stages of completion within a very short distance. To find out which of these castles or fortresses interests you the most, you can visit the fantastic miniature park where you can admire more than 40 buildings so beautiful and similar that it is sometimes difficult to distinguish the photos of the miniature and the real one. And a nice detail, this miniature park is within walking distance (only 2 km) of our holiday home Beztroski Dom.
Since the house is surrounded by a large National Nature Park, you can make about 10 walks from the holiday resort. If you don't mind driving a few kilometers by car first, you can easily increase the number of hikes to about 40 (probably even more, but we walked those 40 ourselves), with the highlight being the hike to the top of Sneeuwkop.
Many of these walks have been officially mapped, others have been written out by us on paper and others we have registered for our guests on a Garmin walking GPS.

Beztroski Dom, which literally translates to "House without worries" is located in a very quiet area, but only 7 km away. of the house, you are in one of the busiest holiday towns in Poland, namely Karpacz. At this time it was mainly visited by the Poles themselves, but before 1946, when this part of Lower Silesia was still part of Germany, the Germans also liked to come here on holiday. Sneeuwkop, the highest point of the Krkonoše Mountains, was also the highest point in Germany at the time. The town is a typical tourist destination with many cozy terraces, restaurants, coffee houses and bars. For lovers of ice creams, Classico Café is highly recommended. Fresh homemade ice cream every day, made from fresh fruits.

Just 15 km from the house you will find the charming town of Jelenia Góra. Beautiful buildings, nice shops, also here many good restaurants, cafes, coffee houses and terraces and friendly hospitable inhabitants, in short, everything a tourist needs for a nice holiday.
In the immediate vicinity you can swim, play tennis, tobogganing, ride the quads, horseback riding, cycling, mountain biking, golf, kayaking, rock climbing and I probably forget some of them now.
People who prefer to take it easy will also find what they are looking for in our holiday home. A fully fenced garden with swing for the little ones and swing bench for the older ones, spacious swimming pool that is maintained daily, a trampoline, the necessary garden furniture and lots of play equipment for young and old. A wellness area with sauna, whirlpool bath and fireplace. A relaxation room with football table (kicker), a shuffleboard and some fitness equipment, it all contributes to a very pleasant holiday.
In the yard we have made a cozy shelter with patio heaters, so that you can continue to enjoy it if it gets a bit cooler in the evening.

When we started renovating the farm in 2005, we had only one goal. This had to be the holiday home where we and our family would prefer to come on holiday. And we have succeeded very well, because our children come on holiday with us every year and they always bring some of their friends with them.

When the original house (which you are looking at now) was finished, we decided to renovate the stables for ourselves, but when we received more and more demand from holidaymakers, we decided to offer this house for rent as well. And after converting the barn into a wellness area, we started to convert the hayloft for ourselves into a pleasant loft. Later a guest room with adjoining bathroom and toilet was added and in 2012 we finished it completely with a relaxation room where we have housed our fitness equipment as described above.

All this, together with the fact that the Dutch-speaking (Flemish) owners are always present to hand you the keys, show you around the area and are always willing to explain the various possibilities and activities, makes Beztroski Dom a guarantee for a successful and fantastic holiday.

We are a Flemish couple who ended up in Lower Silesia by chance, but immediately fell head over heels in love with this beautiful region. We were fortunate to be able to buy a 150-year-old farmhouse, which we have lovingly converted into 2 very comfortable holiday homes. Highlights of making your holiday an we doel.In 1999 we have been accidentally ended up in Poland and during that past 10 years we have almost the whole of 2005 we discovered doorkruisd.In Poland Lower Silesia (also called Sudetenland) and later "the Parks and Valley of Castles ". It was love at first sight. And for dessert we were an old farmhouse for sale. This opportunity we did not want to miss. The environment was so incredibly beautiful that we have the rest of our lives wanted to spend. Every day we enjoyed intensely this gem of Mother Natuur.En after a while we wanted to share it with family and friends. Later we found that we do this with as many people wanted to share the house and we decided to build a vacation home. It was never our intention to put anything in the tourism business. We had always stood on the other side, the side of the tourist, but we wanted sometimes proberen.Greetje was delighted in her, because organizing is one of her hobbies. First the house addressed to a comfortable house of it, while maintaining the atmosphere. And they did geweldig.Dan but transform the stables. Also there was a magnificent vacation of it. Years we have during our vacation homes are rented in different countries. And during this period, we experienced what we were missing or very appreciated. It is this experience that in 2006 we have used this over 150 year old farmhouse to be renovated to a very comfortable house, but preserving the atmosphere of yesteryear. It is like 60 years back, but with all the comforts of vandaag.Ondertussen we have the farm divided into three completely separate from separate parts: two houses, one of which we inhabit them (the former animal stall) and the second that we rent out our holiday guests (the former home) and a health spa in the old barn that we have placed.

The house is completely surrounded by a garden of 40 acres. This garden is fenced, so the children can romp without any danger. In the garden there are swings for children, a swing for older children and adults, a trampoline (3.66 m diameter), a pool of 4,50 m diameter and a height of 1.07 m, a voetbalgoalen, a badminton and petanque opportunity to play in the yard. Also there is sufficient garden furniture (3 garden tables with matching benches). For the evenings you have a fire pit and torches, and of course there is a BBQ corner feature, where you have a splendid view on Snowhead (Sniezka), the highest peak in the Giant Mountains.
In 2011 we built a shed with patio heaters, where even in the cooler mountain air and cozy evenings can sit to enjoy the tranquility.

Boredom is nearly impossible if you enjoy a vacation in Beztroski Dom. The barn we converted into a wellness center with a sauna, whirlpool bath, shower, toilet and open haard.Ook is a semi-professional fitness couch and roeitoestel.In the living room there is a color TV with decoder, video and DVD player. Lower Silesia is a region that is frequently changed nationality. The last time was in 1946, when Germany changed in Poland. All inhabitants were transported, and a whole new population supplied. 2. We personally have never experienced problems with our car, but on the advice of Poles living in Belgium, we have from the first day a steering lock used.
