Beztroski Dom (Apartment 1)

Surrounded by beautiful nature with a view of 'Sneeuwkop' (1602 m), equipped with every comfort, while retaining the atmosphere of the 150-year-old farmhouse, this house is the perfect base to discover Lower Silesia, the Tuscany of Central Europe.

The holiday home is located in the middle of the beautiful and fascinating Valley of Parks and Castles, where you can visit 26 castles and fortresses in various stages of completion at a very short distance. To find out which of these castles or fortresses interest you the most, you can visit the fantastic miniature park where you can admire more than 40 buildings that are so beautiful and similar that it is sometimes difficult to distinguish between the photos of the miniature and the real thing. And a nice detail, this miniature park is within walking distance (only 2 km) of our holiday home Beztroski Dom.
Since the house is surrounded by a large National Nature Park, you can make about 10 walks from the holiday resort. If you don't mind driving a few kilometers by car first, you can easily increase the number of walks to about 40 (probably even more, but we walked those 40 ourselves), with the highlight being the walk to the top of Sneeuwkop.
Many of those walks have been officially mapped, others have been written down by us on paper and others we have registered for our guests on a Garmin hiking GPS.

Beztroski Dom, which literally translates to "House without worries" is located in a very quiet area, but only 7 km. of the house, you are in one of the busiest holiday towns in Poland, namely Karpacz. At the moment it was still mainly visited by the Poles themselves, but before 1946, when this part of Lower Silesia still belonged to Germany, the Germans also liked to come here on holiday. Sneeuwkop, the highest point of the Giant Mountains, was also the highest point in Germany at the time. The town is a typical tourist destination with many cozy terraces, restaurants, coffee houses and bars. For ice cream lovers, Classico Café is highly recommended. Fresh homemade ice cream every day, made from fresh fruits.

Just 15 km from the house you will find the sympathetic town of Jelenia Góra. Beautiful buildings, nice shops, also here a lot of good restaurants, cafes, coffee houses and terraces and friendly hospitable inhabitants, in short, everything a tourist needs for a nice holiday.
In the immediate vicinity you can swim, play tennis, toboggan, ride quads, horseback riding, cycling, mountain biking, golf, kayaking, rock climbing and I probably forget a few now.
People who prefer to take it easy will also find something to their liking in our holiday home. A fully fenced garden with swing for the little ones and swing bench for the older ones, spacious swimming pool that is maintained daily, a trampoline, the necessary garden furniture and a lot of play equipment for young and old. A relaxation room with a football table (kicker), a shuffleboard and darts board, it all contributes to a very pleasant holiday.
We have made a cozy shelter in the yard so that you can continue to enjoy it if it gets a bit chilly in the evening.

When we started renovating the farm in 2005, we had only one goal. This had to be the holiday home where we and our family would prefer to come on holiday. And we have succeeded very well, because our children come to us every year on holiday and each time they bring some of their friends with them.

When the original house (which you are looking at now) was finished, we decided to renovate the stables for ourselves, but when we received more and more demand from holidaymakers, we decided to offer this house for rent as well. Then we started converting the hayloft for ourselves into a pleasant loft. 

All this, together with the fact that the Dutch-speaking (Flemish) owners are always present to hand you the keys, show you around the area and are always willing to explain the various possibilities and activities, makes Beztroski Dom a guarantee for a successful and fantastic holiday.
