Huisje Vogelenzang , our atmospheric historic dike house from 1866, is located in Sint-Annaland, on the beautiful island of Tholen. Walking distance to the beach and the village. The house has recently been restored to the requirements of this time, whereby the unique authentic character has been preserved or brought back as much as possible! From the kitchen in the basement you have access to the sheltered sunny garden, with a view of the beautiful Standerdmolen, which is still in use! The entrance of the house is at dike level. Here you will find the cozy living room with original beamed ceiling and panelling! The stairs to the basement can be reached from the living room, in the basement you will find the simple, but fully equipped kitchen with granite top and tile sink, you imagine yourself in grandmother's time!

The functional bathroom is located on a mezzanine and is equipped with a sink, hairdryer, toilet and a nice shower. On the top floor is a spacious landing with cupboard space, where you can store your suitcases and bags. There are also various board games and books about the area here. The spacious bedroom has a new double bed with a firm cold foam mattress. The open sleeping loft is accessible from the landing/dressing area. Here you will find a doubter. (1 person)
From the kitchen in the lower house you have access to the sheltered sunny garden, with a view of the beautiful, still in use Standerdmolen (the oldest in Zeeland!). There is a plum tree in the garden, as well as various herbs, which you can pick for your own use!

You rent the cottage INCLUDING the double bed (so if you want to sleep separately and want to use the extra bed, you must book for 3 people, or bring your own bed linen! Due to the interior, the house is unfortunately not suitable for small children. Babies who cannot crawl or walk yet are no problem, but please bring their own bed, etc.

Important to know: Huisje Vogelenzang is a dike house with several floors, so climbing stairs is unavoidable! The cottage is not suitable for people with walking difficulties or who depend on a wheelchair. The stairs are relatively steep, inherent to the construction period of the house. It is good to take this into account. The cottage is located on the edge of a cozy and lively village. The Sunday rest is important for many people in the village, this means that the shops are closed on Sundays, and not all restaurants are open outside the summer season.
