This modern apartment is built in our renovated barn, with full kitchen, luxurious bathroom and underfloor heating. In your orchard you can enjoy the peace and quiet, with the only sound of birdsong. Within walking distance are the beautiful inlays, a resting area for hundreds of seabirds and part of the Oosterschelde National Park. Bird watchers from all over Europe flock here for the migratory birds that nest in this protected area.

With a few minutes you look out over the Oosterschelde, next to the 400-year-old monument the Plompetoren (a special vantage point). The apartment is located 6 km from the famous North Sea beaches of Schouwen (the crown of Zeeland). The supermarket, the village center and restaurants are 3.5 km away. The apartment also features 300+ satellite channels on a large flat screen, and strong WiFi.

Hetty and Bruce are both artists; a painter and an actor. Hetty paints the dunes and beaches of the island, on location. Her work is in many private collections and has exhibited in galleries and museums in Holland and the USA. Bruce did years of repertory theater, was on Broadway in Les Miserables and currently tours solo theater pieces. They have two adult children, Frits and Juliette.
