▪︎Front house of our thatched farmhouse from 1872.
After years of odd jobs, we have brought it back to the old style as much as possible,
It has the atmosphere of the past, with all the conveniences of today.
▪︎Het Ommetje is located on the edge of the Vlierlanden residential area in Ommen.
You arrive at your own driveway, in front of you is a large private garden of 900m²
Terraces in the sun/behind the bakehouse and shade/under the old beech. The garden is private and completely enclosed by beech hedges.
Lovely garden, you will always find a nice spot, our guests come to relax there.
In the corner of the garden is a canopy / Imm'nstal with stove, on which you can cook / bake, and in the evening it provides nice warmth.
In front of it is the jeu de boules court, where you can throw a ball during the day or in the evening, the garden is illuminated at several points.
Part of the garden is set up as a vegetable / herb garden, from which you can pick strawberries, lettuce or mint for mint tea.
The borders are planted in such a way that there are flowers all year round.
This in turn attracts many insects and birds, and hedgehogs scurry around.
You can place/charge your bicycles in the bakehouse.
For the children there is a playground, table tennis table, sandbox, toys and games
▪︎Het Ommetje has a spacious living room, sitting area with comfortable sofa and chairs, round dining table overlooking the garden all around. Box bed, to be used as an extra bed 80x200, nice reading place.
The open kitchen is fully equipped, freestanding gas stove with oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, coffee maker, Senseo machine, kettle, juicer, toaster, hand blender.
Storage room with washing machine and dryer, shower.

Landing, extra sleeping place 1 bed 90x200.
Cot and playpen can be placed if necessary.
All bedrooms are attractively furnished, plenty of closet space, and the windows are equipped with mosquito nets.
When you come, the beds are made.
The Ommetje has a ground floor opp. of about 80m2
First floor surface. of about 60m2.
*Walking/cycling
*Beautiful detours to the Vecht, Junner koeland, Ommerbos, Arriën, the cozy center of Ommen, with nice shops and restaurants, is within a radius of 2 kilometers.
*There is an extensive walking and cycling network around Ommen, with many unpaved paths, which takes you through beautiful nature reserves, Lemelerberg, Archemerberg, Besthmenerberg, sand drifts Sahara, Steep bank, is within a radius of 7 kilometers.
* Castles and hamlets around Ommen,
castle Eerde/ Het Laer, estate Rechteren, Vilsteren, Beerze, Junne, Archem.
*Swimming/boating
The Vecht and Regge provide a lot of swimming and boating fun.
For example, you have the beach on the Vecht, and at the Regge.
Ommen and Balkbrug also have an outdoor swimming pool.
Boating/canoeing is possible in various places, or you can go on the large tour boat.
*Ommen has a good train/bus connection, line Zwolle-Emmen every half hour.
