Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi, a BBQ, a SUP board, two bicycles with panniers, and two life jackets for children are available for use FREE of charge (other cottages have surcharges for e.g. bed linen, bath linen, and kitchen linen).
This idyllic cottage is quietly located on the water on a spacious plot of 400 m² and offers a lot of privacy. It is always a wonderful place to be! Listen to the many birds chirping happily and watch the ducks and boats sail by from the lovely large garden or the cozy living room. You can also rent our electric boat for 100 euros. Sail up the cozy village canal, or to the nearby lakes "Bovenwijde", "Beulakerwijde," and "Belterwijde," or to the beautiful nature reserves of the National Park "Weerribben" and "De Wieden".
The nice towns of Meppel and Steenwijk and the forests of Havelte with its unique Dolmens are within cycling distance. You can also take a lovely walk along the cozy houses and canals to the many cozy restaurants and cafes, where you can also enjoy the beautiful view on the terrace. The authentic village of Giethoorn is the "Venice of the North". The characteristic bridges, village canals, beautiful farms and peat houses with thatched roofs determine the village image. There is a bus stop 500 meters from the cottage, and a short 200 meters from the cottage is free parking P6 with plenty of parking. There is a handcart and hand truck available for transporting your luggage.
