Waking up on the beach, starting the day with a fresh morning swim, cup of coffee on your own terrace, swimming, kite surfing (lessons can be taken in front of the door) and enjoying the setting sun while all the bathers have already gone home? You can!
We rent out our lovely beach house in the summer. Available throughout the month of July. For max. 5 people (2 adults + 3 children).
The cottage is fully equipped: kitchen with 4 gas burners and oven, large refrigerator, bathroom with hot shower and private porta poti toilet, bedroom with 3 person bunk bed plus closet space and a lovely bright living room including new 2-person Futon sofa bed and with a view of the sea. Front and rear terrace with lovely outdoor furniture. We are on the large beach of IJmuiden where it is always lively, swim very safely and with plenty of space for water sports.
One free parking space is included in the rent.

Here you will find the widest sandy beach in the Netherlands. You literally have the space and peace to enjoy the rippling sea or a stormy surf. The dynamics never get boring.
Directly behind the beach is the Zuid-Kennemerland National Park, a vast dune area. Cycle or walk through the chalky dunes and discover rare plants such as the blue sea thistle and come face to face with grazing Scottish Highlanders, fallow deer or Konik horses.
For bird lovers, the nearby Kennemerstrand lagoon is a hotspot; a unique place where salt and fresh water meet and countless shorebirds settle.
Due to the open location and the reflection of the sea, you will experience the famous 'Dutch light' here. The sunsets here are legendary: the sky turns from deep orange to purple, while the lights of distant shipping slowly appear on the horizon.
