The Ketse Little Owl

Holiday home De Ketse Steenuil in Kaatsheuvel is a quirky and colorful stay for 3 people. The detached, non-smoking accommodation (adjacent to a storage room) is completely self-sufficient and furnished with every comfort.

The living room faces south and overlooks a large garden (500m2) with mature trees. The owl box hangs in the large pear tree at the back of the garden. You can often see the little owl early in the morning or late in the evening. If the owl has a nest (which happens every year) then much more movement can be seen (May to July).

The accommodation is entirely on one level and all rooms have underfloor heating with the exception of the bedroom. A nostalgic cast iron radiator was chosen.

A spacious box spring is available to you in sizes 180 x 210.

A comfortable, well-sprung sofa bed has been installed for a 3rd person in sizes 140 x 200.

The spacious kitchen is fully equipped with all appliances and overlooks the orchard (300m2 and also entirely at your disposal).

Many ecological materials were used during the renovation, such as walls and ceiling with clay plaster. This gives the whole a particularly pleasant atmosphere. In addition, sustainable solutions have been used by means of solar panels for electricity and a heat pump for heating. To promote biodiversity, we have created 2 sedum roofs.
As an extra, a pellet stove is available for a pleasant evening.

The property is located in a rural area from where you can enjoy endless walks/cycling or visit beautiful nature such as the Loonse and Drunense Duinen or De Biesbosch. A trip to the beautiful cities of Den
Bosch and Breda can pleasantly surprise your stay, but Tilburg in particular has a lot to offer culturally. You can be more active by visiting Experience Island, but also the parks Beekse Bergen or Efteling
of course a great experience.
And all this within a short distance!
