This chalet with lots of privacy is located in a wooded area, near the Natura 2000 area "het Korenburgerveen". From the cottage you can walk straight into the forest. There are several hiking trails in the immediate vicinity, so nature lovers can fully enjoy themselves here.
This detached chalet is located on a small-scale recreation park "Het Rommel Mountains" and has 605 m2 of private land. Parking is available on site. We bought this house in 2023 and have enjoyed working there in recent years.
That's why we call it 'handyman's house'. We are happy with the result and hope that our guests will feel as 'at home' here as we do!

KORENBURGERVEEN: The Korenburgerveen nature reserve is a unique vast nature reserve, perfect for walks through peat, forest and open countryside. Ideal for beautiful walks and spotting special flora and fauna. Natuurmonumenten has also set out a beautiful walking route here.
RECREATIONAL LAKE 'T HILGELO: When the weather is nice, you can swim, sunbathe or walk or cycle around the lake.
STEENGROEVE WINTERSWIJK: Is definitely worth a visit. Guided tours are given, see the site of 100procentwinterswijk.nl The eagle owl also has its breeding ground here!
ZWILLBROCKER VENN: Just across the border in Germany you can visit the Zwillbrocker venn where you can spot flamingos. From January/February, the first flamingos migrate to Zwillbrock. Depending on the weather conditions and the water level, the large group will then come over. They will leave again in mid-August/September! You can also make beautiful walks here.
