Welcome to holiday home Boszicht, an attractive house in beautiful Winterswijk, in the middle of the Gelderland Achterhoek. Our cottage is wonderfully quiet, right on the edge of the forest and close to the German border.
Here you wake up to the singing of birds, enjoy a cup of coffee/tea on the terrace and take the most beautiful walks and bike rides through the varied landscape. Forests, estates, meadows and charming villages are all within easy reach.
Whether you come to relax, go into nature or just relax: you will feel right at home at holiday home Boszicht!
Boszicht is a detached chalet and stands on a plot of approximately 400 m2. We think our chalet is suitable for a maximum of 2 people, but if you want to stay up to max. 4 please contact us in advance see: ask a question to Jos and Marja.
Boszicht is attractively furnished and has central heating in the kitchen/room, of course there is wifi TV radio available. Boszicht has an open kitchen with fridge / freezer, oven, microwave, coffee maker, senseo machine, kettle etc. Also a cozy sitting area consisting of a 3-seater sofa and 2 armchairs and dining table with 4 chairs!
There are 2 bedrooms, 1 with a double bed and 1 with 2 single beds. Bathroom with toilet and sink and shower cubicle.
Boszicht is suitable to stay in any season, it is rural and yet less than five minutes by bike from the center of Winterswijk. The cottage has energy label C.
Boszicht is located on a small-scale holiday park at the edge of the forest in the nature reserve 't Bonnink. From here you can take beautiful walks or bike rides and it is less than 500 meters from the Hilgelomeer. Boszicht guarantees peace and space.
The outskirts of Winterswijk are one of the most valuable areas in the Netherlands and have the designation 'National Landscape Winterswijk' because of its bocage landscape - a mosaic of forests, hedgerows, meadows and fields, interspersed with winding roads and farms. It almost looks like a painting! This landscape is typical of the Achterhoek and is nowhere as well preserved as here.
Why is Winterswijk so special?
Paradise for hikers and cyclists. There are hundreds of kilometers of walking and cycling routes. Well-known routes include the Korenburgerveen, the Mondriaan route, the old Bocholtsebaan, the Bekendelle forest, and the Slingeplas etc. Winterswijk is connected to the international network of cycling junctions. Cycling and walking maps are available at the tourist office.
The quarry. Fossils and traces of dinosaurs, special plants and animals, and unique layers of soil that are millions of years old have been found here! You can visit the quarry during open days or excursions.
Winterswijk has a super cozy center with restaurants and terraces, an excellent range of shops and a market in the center all day on Wednesday mornings and Saturdays.
Winterswijk also has vineyards, farm terraces, the Mondrian museum, etc.
A visit to a German village is also worthwhile!
