Welcome to our cozy Forest Chalet, hidden among the greenery and with plenty of privacy. Here you wake up to birds chirping and, almost guaranteed, a curious squirrel in the garden. With its warm atmosphere and subtle forest theme, this chalet is a wonderful place for families and couples looking for peace, nature and comfort.
Inside the chalet you will find a cozy living-dining room with a comfortable sitting area, a large dining table and atmospheric indirect lighting. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare your own meal: from a fridge with freezer compartment to a microwave, dishwasher and plenty of kitchen utensils. Everything is there so that all you have to do is enjoy. The spacious bathroom has a nice shower and there is a separate toilet - ideal for families. Extra special is the private infrared sauna in the annex, exclusively for our guests. Here you can relax after a walk or bike ride.
The bedrooms are spacious and attractively decorated. The master bedroom offers ample wardrobe space and a comfortable bed with fresh and stylish bedding. The children's room has a unique 3-person bunk bed, fantastic for children and a guaranteed holiday adventure! Small extras have also been thought of: there is a thermostat with which you can regulate the temperature yourself, a fast WiFi connection, television with Dutch channels and Netflix, and a nice terrace with lounge area where you can enjoy the peace and quiet and the wooded surroundings.
The Boschalet is located at the well-maintained and child-friendly recreation park De IJsvogel in Voorthuizen. Guests can make use of extensive park facilities such as an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, playgrounds, bowling alley, bicycle rental, wellness area, jeu-de-boules court and restaurant De Gasterij. During holidays there is entertainment for children and every morning you can pick up fresh bread rolls at the reception. For a quick snack or ice cream, there is also a snack bar. You can park your car for free at the chalet, and there are charging points for electric cars at the park.
The location is ideal for nature lovers and active holidaymakers. You are on the Veluwe, close to beautiful walking and cycling routes. Within a few minutes by bike you are at the Zeumeren recreation area with swimming beach, water skiing, miniature golf and escape rooms. There are plenty of fun outings in the area, such as the Klimbos in Garderen, the Apenheul in Apeldoorn, Het Loo Palace, the Kröller-Müller Museum and the special Kootwijkerzand. There's plenty to do for families with kids too: indoor playgrounds, a petting zoo, and fun family outings are all within easy reach.
Voorthuizen itself is a cozy village with supermarkets, bakeries, butchers, a weekly market on Saturdays and various eateries. Our personal tips? Be sure to try the pancake house De Heuveltjes or have lunch at Grandcafé Wijntje. Whether you actively explore the area or prefer to read a good book on the terrace, the Boschalet is your comfortable home in the Veluwe.
