Holiday house

NatuurlijkLievelde

Come and experience the atmosphere in our attractive and comfortable detached holiday homes. NaturalLievelde, LieveLievelde and MooiLievelde are suitable for 6 people. NatuurLievelde is located on the edge of a nature reserve, with forests on the one hand and a view of the meadows on the other. The house was built in Saxon style and located in the Achterhoek within the triangle Winterswijk, Lichtenvoorde and Groenlo. NaturalLievelde is cozy and rurally furnished and completely renovated. The house has a wood-burning stove (with free use of firewood) and patio doors. You walk straight into the spacious garden (1000m2). Various seating areas have been created with both sun and shade. There is a large covered terrace where you can lounge. In short, a wonderful place to completely relax, in the middle of nature.

The house is pet-free and has 3 parking spaces and lots of privacy. The house is located on the edge of a small-scale and quiet holiday park in Lievelde. Lievelde is located in one of the most beautiful places in the Achterhoek. Surrounded by the green tranquility of vast forests, meadows and historic towns. Hardly anywhere in the Netherlands is the landscape so varied; forests, meadows, flower banks, streams, hedges, farms and castles form a beautiful scenic landscape. In short, a starting point for various cycling routes and walking routes. Mountain bikers and cyclists can also indulge themselves here. Junction 33 is located next to the park. Along most routes you will come across many stalls where you can buy fruit, plants or homemade jam. You can take a break at a "uutblaoshuusken" (which means "to blow out" in Dutch). Would you like to rent a bicycle? No problem! This can be delivered to the holiday home. This way your holiday can start straight away.
Hospitality is there for the taking in the Achterhoek. “Feel welcome” and enjoy the idyllic places to relax and enjoy.

Come wander through the charming towns. Each town has its own authentic atmosphere, beautiful old streets, nice shops, pleasant squares with restaurants and cafes. Lievelde is surrounded by the towns of Lichtenvoorde, Aalten, the picturesque book town of Bredevoort, Winterswijk, the fortified town of Groenlo and not to forget the Hanseatic city of Zutphen with its monumental facades and courtyards. It is also a stone's throw from the German border. There is much, much to explore in this beautiful area; cycling, walking or horse riding through the forests of the beautiful Achterhoek landscape, playing farmer's golf, wandering through a corn maze or wandering through the largest maze in the Netherlands in Ruurlo. But you can also take up the challenge of climbing the tall trees of the climbing forest. You can also choose to explore the area by Solex, scooter or electric bicycle. There are several castles and museum farms in the area that you can visit. There is a large fishing pond within walking distance and there is also a trout pond nearby where you can fish. By car you can also reach the Zwillbrocker Venn just across the German border at Groenlo within fifteen minutes, where you can watch flamingos. But of course you can also relax in the garden or by the fireplace in the holiday home.

Our holiday home is very suitable for people who are looking for peace and quiet. Because we wish to respect the evening and night-time peace and quiet of the area, noisy partygoers, groups of young people, etc. are not welcome!
The holiday home is suitable for people with mobility problems and has a bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor. On the top floor there are 2 more bedrooms, an extra toilet and sink.
In addition, there is a cot, high chair, stair gate, children's crockery and socket protectors for small children.

We like to receive all our guests in a beautiful and fresh home, to guarantee this, pets and smoking are not allowed.

Lievelde has a train station (Lichtenvoorde-Groenlo station) and a bus station.

Location & area recommendations

Additional information

Culinary enjoyment of one of the many regional products or a beer or wine brewed in the Achterhoek. The Achterhoek has a lot to offer. In both Lichtenvoorde and Groenlo there is a pleasant square on the market with restaurants and cafes and many terraces. Would you like to have lunch or dinner, or just have a nice cup of coffee or a drink on the terrace, it's all possible. The choice is very diverse, whether you want to eat a pancake or enjoy culinary delights in a restaurant with a Michelin star. There is plenty of choice and the offer varies per season; in the spring the asparagus, in the summer ice cream and fresh summer fruit and in the autumn delicious game dishes. If you like a beer, be sure to try one of the Achterhoek beers from the local breweries. If you prefer to drink a glass of wine, we can recommend a regional wine from one of the 20 vineyards in the Achterhoek. Whether in a pleasant town, in nature or on the water, there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy all the goodies that the Achterhoek has to offer. Within walking distance of the house, within a radius of 1 km, you will find the Italian restaurant "Toscana", www.toscanaachterhoek.nl. and restaurant "Loco food and drink", www.locolievelde.nl. In Lievelde you can also visit "Erve Kots", in the pancake restaurant or in the restaurant "Hoofdkwartier van de Prins" for al la carte dishes, www.ervekots.nl. Both Lichtenvoorde and Groenlo are within cycling distance and have various dining options. In Lichtenvoorde you can eat well at Grand café Markt 5, website www.markt5.nl, Restaurant de Koppelpaarden, website www.de Koppelpaarden.com. In Groenlo, Bistro Het Huys by Frederik Hendrik, website www.fredrikhendrik.com and restaurant Welgelegen www.welgelegengroenlo.nl and the Stadsch pump www.destadschpomp.nl are highly recommended. The beach lodge Winterswijk is located in a beautiful location with a great outdoor terrace that offers a view over the beach. In addition, this restaurant has 1 Michelin star. www.slww.nl
There are various supermarkets in the area. You will find the Jumbo, AH, Liddl and Aldi in both Lichtenvoorde and Groenlo. Cheese farm Weenink in Lievelde has a farm shop where they sell regional products in addition to cheese and bread. The farm shop is open daily in high season. The farm shop of Eko-farm Arink in Lievelde is only open on Saturdays. There is a weekly market in Lichtenvoorde on Saturday and on Wednesday and Saturday in Winterswijk. On Friday there is a small weekly market in Groenlo.
Lievelde is located in the Winterswijk, Groenlo, Lichtenvoorde triangle on one of the most beautiful spots in the Achterhoek. Surrounded by the green tranquility of vast forests, meadows and historic towns. Virtually nowhere in the Netherlands is the variety of the landscape so varied; forests, meadows, blossomed trees, streams, hedges, farms and castles form a beautiful backdrop landscape. The many peat areas, the national landscape with its ash, wooded banks and peat bog provide many hiking and cycling pleasure. And various cycling and walking routes start from the house and junction 33 is located next to the park. Mountain bikers and cyclists can also enjoy themselves here. In the Achterhoek lies the hospitality for the taking. Along most routes you will come across many stalls where you can often buy various traditional local products for sale such as ice cream, meat, cheese, fruit, plants or home-made jams. At an "uutblaoshuusken" (which means "blowing out" in Dutch) you can take a break and often you can grab a cup of coffee or tea yourself. In many cases you can also get local products here: ice cream, meat, cheese, mustard, asparagus, wine, beer, you name it. Do you enjoy wandering through the atmospheric towns? Then go to the picturesque book town of Bredevoort, fortified town of Groenlo and not to forget the Hanseatic city of Zutphen with its monumental facades and courtyards. Every town has its own authentic atmosphere, beautiful old streets, nice shops, pleasant squares with restaurants and cafes. If you prefer to go shopping, Winterswijk, Enschede or Bocholt in Germany is a must. There is much, very much to explore in this beautiful area; cycling, walking or horse riding through the forests of the beautiful Achterhoek landscape. There are several castles and museum farms in the area that you can visit. Various walking and cycling routes have been plotted around the askderveen and Korenburgerveen, and a trip to the Zwillbrocker Venn nature reserve, just over the German border at Groenlo, where you can watch Flamingos, is worthwhile.
In the Achterhoek you will find many activities for the whole family. There is plenty to discover and do in the immediate vicinity for young and old. From hiking to mountain biking, from swimming to farmer's golf, from playing in a mega play paradise or from experiencing the farming life of the past, from wandering through the largest maze in the Netherlands to sniffing art at the More in Ruurlo museum. You can choose to explore the area by bike, car or on foot. But you can also rent a solex, scooter or scooter. For the little ones there is a gnome route in the gnome forest, but there are also gnome routes set out at various places in the neighborhood. Very nice to combine this with a city walk. The basis of the Grolsch beer brewery is in Groenlo. But nowadays there are many small breweries that brew their own special beers. Visit a beer brewer or one of the vineyards in the area. Guided tours and tastings are regularly organized. Experience the bare footpath, walk the clog path or take the romantic love path in Ruurlo. If you prefer to go higher, climb one of the churches in the area for a view of the city, the climbing tower in the Questionderveen or visit the climbing forest in Ruurlo. What is there to do? Various activities are organized in the Achterhoek during the year. During the summer season, walks are offered in various locations under the guidance of a guide. This brings the fascinating culture, history and nature of the Achterhoek to life. This way you can take a historical city walk in Groenlo under the guidance of Prince Frederik Hendrik. Prince Frederik Hendrik tells about his life in earlier times and at the same time shows the most beautiful places in the fortified city of Groenlo. For children there is a nice coin route through the city and the historic dungeons can be viewed in the town hall. In addition, there are various fortress days during the summer season and every 2 years, in October, time is turned back to 1627 and the "Battle of Grolle" is simulated. A fascinating spectacle. In picturesque Bredevoort, Prince Maurits talks about a siege adventure in the 80-year war during a city walk. But you can also wander through Bredevoort with Hendrickje Stoffels, Rembrandt's lover. Here the stories from old times come to fruition again. An International Book Market takes place four times a year in the picturesque book town of Bredevoort, but also outside of these 4 days, Bredevoort is known for its many book shops and outdoor cupboards with books. In September the old city center of Bredevoort is transformed into a light festival where various light boats pass through the canal at “Bredevoort Schittert”. Together with thousands of tea lights and many candles, they illuminate the town. In Winterswijk you can walk with an experienced guide along interesting buildings, monuments and facade signs. You will visit characteristic and unique places and during the tour you will receive extensive background information about the beautiful legacy of Winterswijk. If you opt for a guided walking tour in the quarry in Winterswijk, the guide will tell you more about the history of the scenic landscape, the special natural values, the exceptional geological qualities of the area. In the Netherlands, there are less than a hundred hectares of live high peat left. The Vragenderveen is part of a unique piece of high moor with a rich flora and fauna is certainly worth a visit. Because of the dangers one can only enter the peat area under the guidance of a guide. Every year there are a number of excursions through this unique piece of nature. Every year, on the second Sunday of September, you can watch the floats with dahlias in Lichtenvoorde. This is a colorful and photogenic event, the second largest flower parade in the world. Winterswijk and Beltrum also have a flower parade around August and September. Just across the border, in Bocholt, from the beginning of December you can enjoy a wonderful Christmas atmosphere with cozy stalls in the center of the city. The atmosphere is cozy and pleasant. A must if you like a smaller Christmas market. Finally, various remains of hiding places can still be found in the Achterhoek because many people moved from the cities to the countryside in the Achterhoek. Near the park you will find the hiding hut on the Brakerweg. A visit to the national hiding museum in Aalten is recommended. From this museum there is a regular tour of the Aaltense Gängeskes with a local guide during the summer season. If you want to see what there is to do in the area, check out www.achterhoekagenda.nl. Here you can find all out tips in the area. But of course you can also relax in the garden or by the fireplace in the holiday home. In short, enjoy and relax.
