Lievelde is located in one of the most beautiful places in the Achterhoek. Surrounded by the green tranquility of vast forests, meadows and historic towns. Almost nowhere else in the Netherlands is the variety of the landscape so varied; Forests, meadows, flower verges, streams, hedges, farms and castles form a beautiful bocage landscape. In short, starting point for various cycling and walking routes. Mountain bikers and cyclists can also indulge themselves here. Junction 33 is next to the park. Along most cycling routes you will come across many stalls where you can buy fruit, plants or homemade jams, for example. At a "uutblaoshuusken" (which means "blow out" in English) you can take a break. Would you like to rent a bike? No problem! This can be delivered to the holiday home. This way, your holiday can start right away.
In the Achterhoek, hospitality is there for the taking. "Feel welcome" and enjoy the idyllic places to relax and enjoy.
Come and wander through the charming towns. Each town has its own authentic atmosphere, beautiful old streets, nice shops, cozy squares with restaurants and cafes. Lievelde is surrounded by the towns of Lichtenvoorde, Aalten, the picturesque book town of Bredevoort, Winterswijk, the fortified town of Groenlo and not to forget the Hanseatic city of Zutphen with its monumental facades and courtyards. Gnome routes have been set out in various places in the area, a fun way to explore the area with the children. It is also a stone's throw from the German border. There is much, a lot, to explore in this beautiful area; cycling, walking or horseback riding through the forests of the beautiful Achterhoek landscape, playing farmer's golf, wandering through a corn maze or wandering through the largest maze in the Netherlands in Ruurlo. Or maybe you prefer to go higher and take on the challenge of climbing the tall trees of the climbing forest. You can also choose to explore the area on the solex, scooter or electric bike.
There are several castles and museum farms in the area that you can visit. There is a large fishing pond within walking distance and there is also a trout pond nearby where you can fish. By car you can also reach the Zwillbrocker Venn just across the German border near Groenlo within fifteen minutes, where you can watch flamingos. But of course you can also relax in the garden or by the fireplace in the holiday home.
The holiday home is a real family home and very suitable for people who are looking for peace and quiet. Because we want to respect the evening and night rest towards the area, noisy, partygoers, groups of young people, etc. are not welcome!
For people who have difficulty walking, it is nice that the house has a bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor. On the upper floor there are 2 more bedrooms, an extra toilet and sink. Furthermore, the house is also child-friendly and equipped with a stair gate, a cot, a high chair, children's crockery and socket protectors. In the fully fenced garden, your children can have fun in the playhouse and on the playground equipment.
