The Koumelker is a real Swedish log cabin of 45 m^2 in a beautiful spot on the water. A delight for the water sports enthusiast, fisherman or peace seeker. On the veranda you can always sit dry and sheltered and in the garden you can find both sun and shade. Enjoy long summer evenings here by the warmth of the fire bowl. Boats can be moored directly in front of the house. There are canoes at the houses for general use. The car can be parked at the house and bicycles can be parked under the canopy for charging if necessary. We have furnished the cottages simply but comfortably for 4 people. Everything is on the ground floor with one bedroom with new hotel beds and one with a spacious box bed for two people. The open kitchen was renovated in 2025 and now even has a dishwasher. There are also 3 types of coffee makers, refrigerator with freezer compartment and an induction hob. In the utility room there is a washing machine, a combination microwave and a barbecue. There is a Smart TV, cable channels and Wifi. The gardens are not fenced, because there are often 2 families renting the cottages in combination. Because the log cabins have underfloor heating, they can be rented all year round.
Fun fact: A Koumelker is a Frisian name for a farmer who only keeps cows for milk. The Koumelker in the Oude Herbergh had to sail or trees to the islands with his Frisian farmer's barge to get grass for his cows, or much more cumbersome, to bring the cows to the islands.For longer stays out of season, different rates apply.
