All the time for each other and relax in a relaxed lounge chair, on the water or on a nice terrace. Or enjoying the lovely spacious garden on the water and the setting sun. Where better to do that than in this attractive holiday home "De Wielewaal" on the water surrounded by lots of greenery?
In "De Wielewaal" we have thought of everything to make it a complete experience. The attractive holiday home is hidden in a privacy garden (1000m2) with a view over the water, a private jetty for a boat, close to a wooded area (within 200 meters) and is located in the middle of the Frisian Lake District. The garden borders on excellent fishing water, approx. 1.75 meters deep and a lot of whitefish is caught. There are also three fish ponds with carp and sturgeons in Sint Nicolaasga.
And the children? They will have a great time on the water with a boat or with a sub board (paddle surfing), in warm weather at the pond, at the table tennis table, on a large bouncy castle, in the playground or with the entertainment team (in high season).
Trips in the area are also highly recommended, especially if you are on holiday with the children. But it is also a true exploration of Friesland by bike with beautiful old towns and beautiful cycling routes. In the immediate vicinity is a beautiful sub-tropical swimming pool, a large sauna complex and an 18-hole golf course. But there are also beautiful museums and fun (indoor) attractions for young and old. (In the house there are several brochures of this in the guestbook).

You can bring your own bike or rent a comfortable bike with gears or an E-bike at the reception or in the village. Look at route.nl for the most beautiful cycling and walking routes in Friesland.
Within walking distance is a characteristic former Frisian farmhouse with an attractive brasserie with a large fireplace, cozy bar and various games. When the weather is nice, you can enjoy a cup of coffee or a refreshing drink on the sheltered terrace. The chef is also happy to spoil you with the most delicious and affordable dishes.
Friesland has beautiful old towns, often with cozy harbors. A visit is recommended. The nice streets - with fairs and markets in the summer - are surrounded by cozy terraces. There are also many activities nearby, in Langweer and Joure in the summer months.
In Sint Nicolaasga you will find a Jumbo supermarket, butcher, bakery, ATM and bicycle rental.
